Alrite lads just wondering what ye feed your ferrets?

Hows it going, i feed my ferrets, guted whole rabbit, tinned dog food ( as subtitute only), shot crows, pigeons, pheasents, hares, ect.

Whole carcass feeding is best.

i feed mine on dry cat food mate and me catch unless i feel like eating it.

I feed dry complete ferret food purely because mine live in a large court with lots of logs etc where they could hide carcases, and as I don't want fly blown carcases going off the dry complete is the best solution for me.

 

cat food is no where near good enough for ferrets, if you are going to bother going to the pet shop, just buy ferret food.

Feed mine cooked chicken mince,whole rabbits And recently whole fresh chickens as a farmer friend is finning out his cocks ferrets love these they are still warm when they go in

James wellbeloved complete ferret food, the ferts love it, if i have worked them i will give them a rabbit or two from the days catch and woodys and pheasents because i dont eat them.

Complete dry food in the summer months, then onto raw Rabbit .

mine get comlete ferret food but when i catch rabbits i sling one in for them but they seem to prefere the dry food hope its just cause there kits still

Feed fresh if you can Lurchers :thumbs-up: two or more Ferrets and the carcass won't be around long enough for a problem.

I feed two Rabbits a day and they don't touch the sides.

my ferrets eat rabbit when i catch them, but they rarely eat the hole rabbit j, theyve eatin a whole pigeon before now, i give em chicken bones sometimes 70p for a weeks worth keeps em healthy

Mine get the dried food through the summer and rabbit in the season with a bowl of chicken gravey after a roast for a treat and they seem to love it.

Ive never fed them on the dry stuff as ive never had to they get just about everything i shoot or the dog's catch as well as day old chick's now and again... ..

Mine get vitalin complete now, £25 for 15kg but they love it so thats all that counts for me. Plus they get rabbits in the winter months, My dad moans about flys in the shed if i feed them meat in the summer :realmad: Iv got one court with 5 small jills and one hob in and they take a full day to eat a whole rabbit. Rob w how do your 2 ferrets eat 2 rabbits a day? Must be big ferrets :11:
