Phantom 631
I was out at the cemy for a full afternoon today and I'm now fooking fuming! I was sat on the bench waiting for the gas men, to pack it in with the pnumatic drill on the road outside the cemy. I'd already checked my zero and there was no point in wandering around the cemy as there was not a bunny to be seen. This bench is towards the centre of the secluded part of the cemy where my wifes two brothers, mom and dad are burried. Well earlier this year, we burried my wifes second brother after he was hit by a train not far from here. We placed his casket on top of his mom's as it was a double grave. Thanks to the Health and Safety wankers the headstone had to be removed before the grave was opened and it had to be at least six months before the headstone can be placed back in the same place. Like I said, I'm sat there and the resident Robin (cute little fella, that often comes and sits near me when I'm sniping over a warren) starts dancing and jumping from one headstone to another in front of me. I enjoy watching this little fella he's quite comical. I followed him across each and every headstone from my wifes father and youngest brother's headstone right across to the side where I lay to check my zero. Any how, the Robin just seemed to hop back and forward across this one particular headstone I looked down and although I wear glasses, I could just see the name Joan Davy. Well feck me! whats the chances of that? Two Joan Davy's in the same small village cemetery! I lifted the S200 to see what else it said and was mortified to see that it said 'beloved wife of Tony' I walked over and read the rest of the inscription. Talk about fecking incompetance! The stone masons who set it have only gone and placed my mother-in-laws (and brother-in-laws) headstone on the wrong grave. And to top it all, there is a plaque on the grave that says who is actually in the grave FFS! After seeing this I couldn't shoot to save my life I was so friggin wound up. Right, rant over. Phantom 631
Late last night, I emailed my contact at the PCC who gave me the permission to shoot at the cemy and told him of the error. He then got in touch with the Vicar and the Church warden. The Vicar is going to be in touch with the masons first thing on Monday to get it sorted. Lesley, CJ and I went up there this aft, on the way back we bumped into the widow of the guy whose grave the headstone has been placed on. She is also on the Church Council. So the masons are gonna get it the ear from numerous sources on Monday Lets see just how long it takes them to sort it out. Tony Quote Link to post
