stealthy1 3,964
we need a serious bit of rain round here. roll on the winter You could try those metal wire tent pegs until the ground softens up a bit, I use them on some of the hard ground around here, bit heavy to carry a load, but better than knocking in wooden pegs at the minute Quote Link to post

Quixote 9
I was out last weekend and a certain person who was with me fell twice down the enbankment into nettles stinging his erse to shreds Aye...........and those trousers with the hole in them are now in the bin!!!!! Wish we were suffering from the heat just now! We've been down to 6 degrees recently. Gales yesterday, so we couldn't get out. Today was pretty decent though, although we had to use the break in the weather to gather up BBQs, buckets, planters, etc, from where they'd ended up! Won't be long until we get a chance to get out fro some serious bags though Quote Link to post
niall_b73 41
13...... sounds good to me. i use the tent pegs, i think they are great. i just bent them right round and braised them, the eye is closed tight. tho where i am the land is anything but hard, wellies needed & nothing but rain. niall_b73 Quote Link to post

allenyeates 3
Unlucky 13, was there no dock leaves Instead of dock leaves try this.. Snap off a piece of elderberry twig from near the end of the branch, peel off just the bark , spit on it and rub it on nettle stings. Almost instant relief from pain and itching. Well worth remembering. Works on insect bites and stings , been used for years. Quote Link to post
