I don't believe it!!!!

Hey guy's, gal's and the others ;)

Went for an hour's bunny boppin again this evening. Feck this is addictive aint it :whistling:

I'm beggining to think that place is producing zombie wabbits :icon_eek:

Got there, checked my zero, first pellet went into the 8 ring :hmm:

Other 4 pellets all in the 10 and the bull :clapper:

No wind at all and it was getting very cold  , bring back summer :notworthy:

No sign of anything other than a few blackbirds hopping around (nah, not the kind that are on the GL) and the regular Robin that likes to sit and keep an eye on me from atop of a headstone.

I had taken some fresh chopped lettice and celery and carrots and set that out at the entrance to two of the big warrens at the rear of the cemy. Hoping that some bunny would come to investigate the pong from the chopped veg (sadly a no show with that, but will check tomorrow)

The wind picked up to a very light almost none existant breeze and it was blowing back down the cemy.

Got to the far end and looked back across the land and saw a rather nice size bunny sat sniffing the air (could it smell the shootmore from yesterday? I could still smell it, so maybe it could. Bonus, if that is the case  )

Walked across to the side and used a monument as a rest.

Because I was now facing the end of the cemy that has a footpath behind the railings and a road, I had no choice but to take the shot standing and aiming down, so if I missed it would go into the ground and not leave the boundry.

I guessed the shot to be about 40-45 yards' but using the monument was as stable as shooting from the pod.

Placed the crosshair a touch above the head and squeezed off the round. Bunny dropped like a lead balloon :victory: just keeled over and a few twitches of its back leg and its 'good night Vienna' :clapper:

I get a real kick out of pulling these long ones off.

I dont usually risk them unless I am absolutely sure I can pull it off.

If the monument hadn't been there; I would have had to get within 30 yards before trying to take a standing shot. Anyways enough of the waffle; I wandered over counting the paces (44 longish), got to the bunny and noticed two things:-

  • The pellet drilled exactly where I had 'Imagined' it to land and
  • The bunny was a buck and it had 3 balls!! (two of the usual, and a huge Golf Ball on its left side infront of the hind leg almost on its back.

And you though I was being kinky :icon_redface:

Check out these pix:

The 1st gives you an Idea of the size of him. Look close and you can see the pellet impact point and at his rear you can see the lump.

This one shows the lump better.

I didn't open the bunny up, but I did want to know if it was a solid mass tumor or a something else, this is what I found under the skin.

This is what was inside, a load of fluid and these spots almost like eggs?

I had thought it was Tapeworm from information I had gathered from you guys over the last year :signthankspin:

I didn't even bother to gut the animal, just placed it in a bag and dropped it in the bin. I'm rappidly going off wabbit :(
