Hi every one

Went over to Stanford house Friday to have a look around and on arrival I was relieved to see Boris the bull in the front field

So I went to the back of the property, and got the HW100 .177 set up. And started my walk over to the small woods which the sheep shelter in from sunlight & rain. On my way over I could here a bird’s sound which was a woodcock so just to be sure looked up a pic when I got home and found out it was a woodcock, so roll on 1st October.

Any way got to the front of the wood and the sheep were in there, but not for long as I entered. I got to my spot and sat down wind, the wind was about 20mph so no longish shots today all 20yds & under. As I sat there for a bout an hour I was watching some magpies at the other end of the woods, but to far for a shot and two many branches. Then I heard the woodcock again this time it landed in a tree about 15yds away and I had a good look at it. Ready for October.

Nothing else for another hour, so I decided to go relieve myself. As I was reliving myself

And turned to go back to my spot, I saw 3 bunnies not more than 20yds from me, as I was in the sunlight I tried to gain some distance between me & the quarry, and get up against a big oak tree. As I got settled they were still there so I took the closest to me which was less than 10 yds THWACK! Over it goes the others dash of but one was sat in amongst some branches & twigs so had to walk around it for a clear shot. With my eye on it every step I took, it was just watching me as if it was stunned and couldn’t move. Now this was a tricky shot, as the pic will show how many branches and twigs there are in here

Any way I managed to get the right position and take the shot THWACK! Down it goes

As the wind reach 25mph I decided to call it a day. And go and get my next bit of permission sorted, shooting feral pigeons in WHSMITHS depot, where my niece’s partner works

Here are some pics
