shepp 2,285
I just wondered what you guys would recommend to give my HW100 stock a bit or a spruce up. I want it to be a bit less matt but not glossy and i would'nt mind it being a little darker. Cheers Shepp Quote Link to post
Guest Scuba1
No matter what you do to it mate it will never look as good as an AA. Joking aside give it a rub down with 000 wire wool and then oil it a few times with linseed oil giving it a good rub with a soft cloth after each coat has dried. Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
For gun stocks I have a passion for Lem Oil that you use for guitar necks, if its good enough for rock legends its good enough for my HW100T Quote Link to post

Sterry 0
For gun stocks I have a passion for Lem Oil that you use for guitar necks, if its good enough for rock legends its good enough for my HW100T Lem oil does have a tendancy to dry the wood out, lin seed is better on guitars just takes longer to work in. (i used to restore and repair guitars and other string instruments) i take it the stock is walnut, so why not use walnut oil. and if its too glossy, rub it down and then apply the oil, thats my RWS Excalibur with oiled walnut stock and its not glossy nor is it too matte.
