Cold Ethyl 63
My male salxgrey never bothered with birds couldnt be less bothered till recently now hes hammering them every chance he gets and he only goes for what hes sure he will catch. My bitch loves birds and will have a go if she is close to them and retrieve them live to hand no problems. The pups far too young to tell wether or not it will or wont be a bird catcher Quote Link to post
Sorley x 32
Get some wings off a dead bird, dry them out and stitch/tie them to a dummy. You'll puppy will soon be snapping up feather. DON'T forget that your puppy is still VERYVERYVERY young. My dog didn't touch feather until he was 18 months old, now he will take it at every opportunity. Quote Link to post

Sully 3
This is a great thread, something Ive been wanting to know for a while, and never got round to asking, I'd love Lexy to take the odd duck / pheasant etc, Ive introduced her to swimming and she's now retrieving to hand, she swam after her dumbell for the first time this morning after many hours of letting her paddle, so what do you suggest, is there anyone kind enough to send me some duck / pheasant wings ? I'll course pay the postage Quote Link to post
