i woke up sunday mornings to hank snow george hamilton the 4th merle haggard hank williams george jones oh and had to watch the black and white fu*cking minstrels

 

God that brings some memories back :laugh: merle haggard at the grand ole oprey & waylon Jennings , my dad had a double album with a bit of the curtain off the stage stuck on it , we had talks about it & everything :laugh:

My little 'un loves The Who I took her and my mum to see them live in Newcastle about a year and a half ago she loved it and sang most of the songs aswell. Its just really weird seeing a 4 year old (that's how old she was at the time) singing madly to my generation :laugh::laugh:

 

Must admit i didnt get into the who till about 20 yrs ago , the lads been attempting squeeze box on his guitar the last few weeks

kay my dad watches all the country music on 279 on sky he records it all and burl ives he punished us for years with him but merle i must admit he,s grown on me

 

Must admit i like nearly all the stuff my dad still lisens to . he has stuff on cd that no buggers ever heard off & i was amazed he was into Norah Jones ,& told me she was the daughter of ravi Shankar :o

Boxcar Willie was another one i was subject to on a radio gram :laugh:
we had johnny cash boy named sue n all that on a sunday afternoon after the pub and dubliners sat night after the pub sunday mornings some twat on the radio with a pretend dog called arnold .. tony blackburn -- maybe 70s .. ;)

norah she,s good she had a falling out with her dad hows your lad getting on with the guitar no more songs for us to listen to

 

I will record him doing neil Youngs Harvest tomorrow night , he does my head in sometimes with his racket :laugh:

my lad used to do my head in pounding a football agen the house day and night ..now hes a pro footballer ;)

This takes me back about 24 yrs used to love the on the buses films when I was young my mum just sat me in front of them when I was annoying her kept me quite for an hour or two :laugh:
