Sully 3
Well, I went out purposely to get myself a Hancock bred dog, mine is from John Dog (Beardie Collie x GH) x Flicker (GH), she's as bright as a button, learns very quick, getting her to a standard then having another, maybe go for a similar cross but from working stock, then I'll be able ta tell you all if it really does matter !!! poacher3161 1,766
Good luck lads with the dogs of your choice.I know in other post i have called hancock but never once slated the dogs he has bred as IMHO you have got to look past who bred them and at the end of the day their lurchers like any other that need your 100 pct comitment in their training and care.atvb dell Quote Link to post
jonnygray 139
how do you rate the hancock dogs?, not heard alot of good stuff about them, but iv never seen one work........ i just took one on from a friend whos had a bit of a rough time, dogs one year old and not done a lot settled in with my other 5 no worries bit quiet to start with, took him for a liitle wander on the lamp for the first time on golf course picked up first one i slipped him on long slip too over 200 yards bought it back but just circled me with it, bit more training needed. first hancock dog and first collie cross ive had! impressed so far! Guest reload
I REALLY DONT KNOW WHY HANCOCK DOGS GET SUCH A BAD REVIEW ON HERE,THROUGH MY EXPERIENCE OF THEM THEY ARE FAULTLESS. NO DOG IS FAULTLESS Cracking looking dogs on the thread. Quote Link to post
Guest lurchers&terriers
THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH HANCOCK LURCHERS AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN THE RIGHT HANDS LIKE ANY LURCHER. YOU DOP HERE OF HANCOCKS THAT ARE NERVOUS AND OTHER PROBLEMS BUT THATS GOT f**k ALL TO DO WITH HANCOCK ITS THE PEOPLE WHO BUY THEM THAT CAUSES THE PROBLEMS BY NOT HAVING A CLUE ON HOW TO BRING DOGS ON AND THEN BLAME IT ON HANCOCK.
