Two Bunnies in the bag

Hi all

 

after waiting for the peak weeks of caravaning to go, i decided its time to go bunny bashing, on my favorite permission, teaming of rabbits,

8 O'clock i set off up the hills to get to 'THE SPOT' where i know there is all ways about 20-30 rabbits munching on grass, as sure as eggs are eggs there was, but where they were it is open ground so i needed to stalk threw the thistles which are not that big, until im about 30 yards away or so from the bunnys, i got all settled down, in the position, one rabbit looked straight at me but didn't give a care, WHOLLOP one down, but it squealed, all of his little friends bolted, so i moved position to around 15-20 yards away from the rabbits, gave them 20 mins for them to 'Think' its safe to come out, one of them raised its head, i lined up got him in the cross hairs and WHOLLOP one down, i crept over to the bunny and put him in the bag, i waited for another 20 minutes, impatiently and another popped out from the bracken lined up again, as it raised its head, safety off got ready to squeeze the trigger, it missed the bunny put its head down in the nick of time, then bolted taking some of his friends with him, ( left them for another night out )

packed up the gun, and went home, with two in the bag !
