J Darcy 5,871
Firstly, the "teach his cubs" excuse doesnt hold water. The male cheetah plays no part in rearing the cubs, ergo, he can have no benefit. If it had been a female cheetah then i would concur. That said, i doubt if they need "teaching" in the first place. I would bloody love a pet cheetah, and having seen a video of cheetah being ran on Roe deer i should imagine they would be a superb tool for filling the freezer. When the Cheetah hits "power-band" the Roe looks like its merely trotting! And, as has been stated, it is not illegal to hunt wild mammals with a cat!!!!
lurchergrrl 1,441
Darcy I thought the same thing about the cub teaching malarky. These fellas just want to watch their pussy cat do it's thang, and who can blame them? Crikey, next think you know the fens will be covered in cheetahs. Blokes in safari hats and khakis exchanging thousands of pounds for their pussy. Edited August 10, 2009 by lurchergrrl

lurcher lass 9
oh my god! interesting how it hunts the same way we'd use a lurcher, would be good to control deer etc too hopefully, definatly a better choice then suffolk who were thinking of introducing lnyx who are indeed stunning but i've only ever seen them hunt hare where we need a type of preditor to hunt rabbits and deer as the numbers are getting very much of control and do need assistance with so few farmers giving out permission however must confess there is a part of me that feels a tad nervous about this, lets be honest the block behind the desk in his suit writing up plans andlaws is one thing but little me wondering around with a handfull of ferrets and a bag of rabbits could be veiwed as bait... interesting though, thanks for showing us lurcher lass x x x
