u cant beat bread or dog biscuits summer evenings ,especialy if the pond has people feeding ducks alot.,even sweetcorn still takes many big fish..if u want to spend some money get frozen boilies ,not shelflife .any bait by a good company ,mainline or nash etc.

but what worked last time is chunk of cat food, but i just wanted to know what worked best for other people, so i dont want comments like....

just im goin fishing on weekend and wanted to know some good baits, sweetcorn or luncheon meat dont work good on ther anymore. too many people useing it there as it is sold in the shop there.

 

is peperarmi any good.. iv been told this?

 

and if it is what flavour. the green one(not spicy) red(spicy) or black (very very spicy)

carp are like water pigs will eat anything .caught them on everything from maltesers to small dead fry fished in the margin ,done well on prawns on commercials though ,if theres any good perch in there it seems to work for them to

tried peperami few times green n red not had much luck ,havin a bait in the right place seems more important than what it is ,.

tiger nuts,trout pellets and prawns have allways done the bizz for me i also use chum mixers on the top soaked in a drop of scopex

BBQ pepperami is great for the carp mate plus it dosent come off as easy as other meat. atb tom!!

A few details of the type of venue, size of carp targetted etc would be useful.

 

The approach for a commercial with 4-10lb carp would be rather different to that for a pool with only a few big 'uns.

been know to hold anything between 1-30 lb mate.. so dont reeli know

 

got alot of big fish, but then some small, avrage id say aroung 4-7lb?

i only use maggots .. 10 on a hair rig always catches me a fish or two

 

i always chuck in a couple of pints before i fish

 

also tried pepparami but with no luck

if ya gonna chuck a couple of pints in i would freeze them to kill em otherwise they soon dissapear into lake bed then fish over the top of these little and often is the key to getting fish competing good luck mate

carp will eat anyhting ive caught them on jelly babies there quite good milk bottles and i always mkae my own groundbait.
