davyt63 1,845
Hi every one Charlie and I went to our newest permission Saturday, which I got from a builder who I am doing some plastering for, who has a horse paddock and has a rabbit problem. The builder and I got chatting and I told him I do air gunning and would he want me to have a look at his problem, once he took me their to have a look, we agreed that it would be in the written form, so that was all good which he agreed. So of we set Saturday afternoon and got their about 5ish, I had a chat with the two neighbours who live adjacent to the paddock and explained who we were and what we was up to. And they were very grateful that we introduced ourselves to them as to cause no worries if they see different vehicles at different times. That went down really well then we met the couple who owns the horses had a chat with them and they were fine this is a pic of the paddocks they just wanted to know if we had silencer’s on our rifles, which I clicked my fingers and said it is not even as loud as that!. Then we went and spent some time with the horses for them to get use to use, and then had a recky around the paddock then sat in the car four a couple of hours and watched there movements where they were coming from and going to. Whilst we were having our recky we paced out a few likely spots which we were told about. And knew were our hold over and hold under would take us to. After all this prepwork we decided to get the two AAS410.22 out, and have a look round as they were starting to come out. just a little scan round and a laugh!! the first of the afternoon the bleeping you can here is { i left my cars keys in the car with the door open} I went south and Charlie went north, Charlie went to the training paddock where the bunnies our digging it up bad! And I went to the far corner; well it wasn’t long before we were bagging, and met back at the car in a few hours Charlie had 2 & I had 6. Then of we went again on a lamping session and ended up with 21 in all final score was Charlie 9 Davy 12 now the reason for this Charlie had sat still for a couple of hours, and when he moved I was coming up to where he moved from we like rotate, that way no one gets a pellet in their ass. Any way as he left and I was about 50yds from the paddock about 8 bunnies all came out at once so I was really still and got on to the radio and just had to tell Charlie about this to wind him up he could not believe it oh! How I laughed at his reply. So up came the SAA410 .22 and THWACK, THWACK, THWACK. All three were down and out was telling Charlie about it and his reply was yes I done that earlier damn! Had to say the adrenaline was running on overload and the excitement of virgin ground, it’s always the same on a new permission “don’t you think†any way we had a great time and some good fieldcratf and shooting Here are some pics from the afternoon a couple of pics from lamping this one i got it just rolled forward and this one had some sort of main going on and a group photo happy hunting davy Quote Link to post
