Guest The Big Fish
Illegal to shoot hares? who told you that  Its like any wild life, if you want to get up close and personal, you need to be quiet and patient. Too many youngens these days have no patients at all, its all now or nothing Just for the ferreting queen, this is what you should be looking for:

Guest Ditch_Shitter
I have Hares outside my window, some mornings. They come off the meadow beside my track and mess about, or just sit around, on my track. Nice to watch. I'd never attempt to take Morgan. Not many would around here. In fact, I go out of my way not to harm her. Many of the old ways are still remembered, round here

If its a bunnie they either get caught or go to ground and the dogs come back. When its a hare, they just run for bloody miles  And in this heat ive got knackered dogs who can hardly walk back to the cottage MOLL.

chartpolski 27,769
Me and Longdogrunner had a mooch around the Northumberland Fells, not far from where the Border and Coquetdale Coursing Club used to operate, plenty of rabbits, fox, deer, but didn't see one hare in over three hours wandering about. I couldn't believe it. Cheers.
