Has anyone else had this or experienced this? is it just that this one not getting as much feed as the others?

probably the runt of the litter, last year had two litters born in the court, all same age, yet two were noticably smaller, so much so that I brought the smallest one in, as he was getting bullied, he was fully formed, eyes open and eating to a degree, but had a wierd shaped head, sadly he died, then bought the other small one in, as she too started getting picked on, and was getting less food than the others, she survived and is now one of my daughters "pet ferrets" that live in the front room, she is still a very small fert, smaller than all of my workers, and did not come into season this year

Try putting a leg of rabbit in with the kitts they might try it and it will help the jill and the wee ones out then the more meat you can put into the kitts the better the chances of the smaller ones

I've always found the small ones the fiestiest little buggers like said above. I kept the runt from my first litter (a polecat jill now named Polly)

But I knew a guy who would kill the runt when it was weaned as 'it is only good for drowning' !?!?!?! :icon_eek:
