hi all , just had a bloke over to use my border dog, its a repeat mating. last time [18 months ago] mated them twice ,tied both times . result- 4 pups . tried this time and the dog threaded the bitch but they didnt tie. same thing last saturday. bitch is clearly in full use , my question is wil she go in pup without a tie ?

We had the same thing years ago with a old dog of mine this bitch never tied so i use to hold the dog i her meaning i'd put 1 hand under the bitch and hold her up with my other hand press the dogs back end into her she had pups no problem best of luck.

Traveled all the way to Glasgow for a mating once, the dog slip mated my bitch, he wasn't in her for more than a second or two.

The lad wouldn't wait around for second mating "work commitments" but he said that all the bitches taken to the dog either have a small litter of big pup's, or a big litter of small pup's, she had ten pup's and one of them was huge, had to have c section.

Good luck.

Common in the British Bulldog world, this way of breeding. Do you think them kids would take the chance of a slip mating if there was doubts do it. I know a kid local to me who gets the job of doing a lot of them breedings local & its all show stock & for kids high up in them dogs.
