Jingle Bells at Christmas Dog Show. Dessie Mackins Christmas Dog Show will be held on Saturday 21st December 13. at Halls Mill Pub Car Park on the Gilford, Banbridge Road, Co Down. The History Of The Whippet The Whippet is a breed of dog in the sighthound family. They are active and playful and are physically similar to a small greyhound. Appearance Whippets are a medium-size dog averaging in weight from 25 to 40 lb (11–18 kg), with height of 18.5 - 20 inches (47 - 51 cm) for males and 17.5–18.5 inches (44–47 cm) for females.. they come in a wide variety of colours and marking patterns, everything from solid black to solid white, with red, fawn, brindle, blue, or cream. Sunday 15th September 13 was the last Whippet show of 2013 for the Sporting Whippet Club of NI and the first two qualifiers for the Five Nations Whippet Championship. Folks I just need to clear up a wee misunderstanding. The Trophy for Thomas Mc Cormack on the 8th of September is not related in any way with the fund raiser we are planning in the near future for Thomas family with kind permission from Tommy senior.
