I was thinking of trying to organise a coach for any members of the IWTF and any other people interested in making an effort to support RISE and the country game fair,I think a number of around 50 people would be needed to make it cost effective .the coach would be leaving from Belfast feel free to pm me if interested ? Tully Castle , Enniskillen, overlooking Lough Erne was the venue for the local Festival and Dog show last Saturday 11th August 2012. This impressive Castle is the remains of a fortified house and bawn, and is set on beautiful Tully Point. The Castle was first documented in 1619, shortly after being built for the Hume family, who lived there until 1641. However, the castle was attacked and burned on Christmas Eve in 1641, and it has never been lived in since. For the past 350 years it has remained ruined and desolate. WORKIN TERRIER AND LURCHER/WHIPPET SHOW Due to a show been canceled we are havin our anual terrier n lurcher/whippet show on SAT 18th AUG in clough co.Down n.ireland. new venue this year and very easily found situated around 6miles from Downpatrick and around 5miles from castlewellen and is half mile from the small village of seaford. RISE at the Irish Game and Country Fair, Birr Castle, 25th & 26th August 2012 RISE (Rural Ireland Says Enough!), will be very much in evidence at the forthcoming Irish Game and Country Fair in Birr Castle on 25th and 26th August. Borris House was the unique venue for the National Country Fair Dog Show last Sunday the 5th of August 2012. Borris House in County Carlow is foremost a home, lived in by the MacMorrough Kavanaghs, for the past 550 years. Both the house, family and estate are steeped in history. Originally Borris House was an important Castle guarding the River Barrow. But in 1731 Borris House was rebuilt and altered by the architectural dynastic family, The Morrisons, chiefly Richard and William. This was the beautiful surroundings for the National Country Fair, Dog show and Racing at Borris last Sunday.

Due to unsavory incidents at a the majority of shows this year, some I have witnessed others I have learnt of in this site, I have taken the decision to not hold my show this year. I'm not directing this at anyone in particular, but parading unmarked greyhounds as lurchers and lurchers as whippets is cheating, end of. I went to Shanes Castle on a Saturday for the first time in about ten years this year, all I heard was that's a greyhound, that's a greyhound.
