  1. cheers mate. If you like our facebook page we will be able to put updates on our progress. We are in the process of sorting out the finer details about donating. Its a worthwhile cause i feel.

We are working on a press release at the moment and will conact the papers an tv. I think i want people to know that we both hunt. My mate is originally for Zim but was kicked off his family farm and mved to england about 10 years ago and has hunted all his life over there.

In africa, the vast majority of conservation work is carried out and funded by professional and commercial hunting.

  2. Hello

Myself and my best mate are raising money to help anti poaching efforts in Zimbabwe. To do this we are walking across the Gonarezhou National park in Zimbabwe, unaided and unarmed. We are joining a guy called David Hulme, who has been walking the border of Zimbabwe for the same causes since 2009 and works for the professional hunter Roger Whittall. We plan to walk the distance in just over a week.

We are raising money for the Save Valley Conservancy anti poaching team to do our small part to try and stop the illagal killing of elephant and rhino for the ivory market, mostly in Asia. I have been snaring rabbits and foxes here at home since i was a kid, but unlike the snaring you and I are used to, snaring in Africa catches literally everything you can think of. In the area we are walking across, aside from huge numbers of elephant and rhino, wild dogs are getting caught and killed in large numbers.

All of the photos on our facebook page are taken by either myself or my mate ( He is a pro photographer and im a freelance) and at some point in the future we will be selling a few prints and all money will go towards the cause.

Please could you take a few moments to join our facebook page and have a read on the reasons that made us decide to do this...if not for the actual cause then support us to show the anti's that just because people hunt, doesnt mean they dont give a shit about conservation.

I thought i put a few miles in on a sunday for a dig with the terriers, but this is gunna be a killer!

    Cheers

    Dan

  3. Im finally getting my Mac next weekend which means i will be able to properly edited all of my RAW files, most of which are of my trip to South Africa last Septebmer. This is one which i had saved as a Jpeg though and quickly edited tonight.

This was taken in Kruger National Park near the end of the day. She was one of two females who stayed to guard the den where the pubs were hiding in during the day. I managed to get a shot of her having a bit of a yawn.

  4. Being an aggressive thug of an animal has nothing to do with it having prey drive or being game

i really dont know...................sometimes i think they do get alittle excited ,..........i mean sometimes when terriers work together they do get possesive ...............and tangle with other dogs ...............

that would make an interesting topic.....................i will put it up ............cheers

I was out on a rough shoot yesterday and saw spaniels getting over exctied and snapping, but i think thats more of a dominance thing, not pure agrression trying to get at anything with 4 legs and a fur coat.

  5. Last year i was warming up at the boxing club ready to start training when a lad turned up for his first go at the club glugging a giant can of fizzy energy drink. I said hi because he was looking a bit nervous and said he definatly didnt want to be drinking that straight before he training. His reply was "GIVE YA ENERGY INNIT"......10mins into skipping of he rushed to the bog and left 15 mins after that haha

  6. I entered mine at 17 month it think. My brother has a russell x that has escaped to ground a few times, in empty places thankfully, but he is still very puppyish. Wanting to play all the time, so i told him best leave him a few month until he is mature as well as wanting to go to ground

  7. Took this photo of my brothers 2 terriers the other week. Got it printed and framed along with photos of his spaniels and pointer for his xmas present. Thought you may like to see it.

Black bitch is 15 month old. Her sire is a small white russell that ive dug to before and damn a small scruffy black bitch.

White dog is also 14 month old and was given to him by an old boy who was getting out of the game. His grandsire is a big strong black dog that ive also dug to and never heard bay yet!

Had the black bitch on digs to my bitch before but is a gunna be a slow starter me thinks. Brother has only had the white dog a few weeks. He has just sat in kennels so we got him out so far and seen a couple of digs to my bitch and had them all out today ratting in the partridge pens. He is gunna go no problems.
