Are Elections Here More Benefit To Political Parties Than To The People.
clabedoo replied to nans pat's topic in General Talk
Brand (Russell) has given the profit from his latest book to the families in London who are being turfed out of their houses by multinationals who want to build yuppie flats instead - sound good to me. Don't agree about not voting though - people died to get and preserve that right. -
This sounds spot on - don't spend a fortune - you will soon figure out what kind of action you like in a rod, what lines your prefer etc. Then you get into the presentation side of things and that really is the business end and will dictate your catch success - so once you have the arm waiving bit sorted it gets even more interesting I have a small fortune sitting in my kit shed - some of the most expensive reels and rods barely get out, some of the cheapest are my favourites and just seem to "fit" . Once you establish the right rod, reel and line and you can catch fish you start to s

Always had a license in all the years I have been fishing. I only fish private/club/syndicate waters now but it is the principle. Also a member of the Wild Trout Trust. I respectfully check everyone I meet and expect the same to happen to me - I have been asked probably on average once a year. I can only speak from experience but the EA and WTT do some fine work around my way on all types of waters. However I doubt they would mount a 24hr 7 days a week patrol for carp like they did to stop our friends from the East taking everything that swims during the salmon run.

A report on RSPB blog by conservation director Martin Harper has come out in favour of managed shoots. Stating that responsible management of shoots encourages native bird species to flourish. Who would have thunk it?

John Norris are spot on for kit and advice - they won't just try and screw money out of you, Having said that I have fly fished for many years and I can tell you that if you buy a starter kit you will want to upgrade very very quickly once you get the hang of it. As said above it is the only way to catch - even better is only on the dry fly and only on moving water- then you really will have the bug and the rest of your life will be knackered as you pursue the 5 stages of fly fishing; 1 - catch a fish 2 - catch lots of fish 3 - catch big fish 4 - catch the biggest fish 5 - catch the mos

Guys thanks for all the info - all taken on board. Was gonna speak with farmer today but domestic issues won out - he is working heavily on the drainage in the adjacent fields at the moment so I shall have a chat but I guess that means dusk and dawn until he sorts it. As always no shortage of sound advice - thanks chaps.

Firearms/ Shotgun Advice.....

At the risk of repeating myself (don't quote statute - check stated case) no-one has a statutory nor implicit right in law to hold a FAC or SG ticket, except at the granting discretion of the cheif officer for the area in which they reside. The laws are somewhat archaic despite recent addendum and annexes. They still contain phrases such as , "...or who is otherwise unfit to hold......" so as you can see they are wildly open to interpretation hence the need for stated cases. Yes you can appeal but your appeal can only be heard on matters/circumstances/evidence and so forth that was not ob -
I coach 3 different teams and they all have better skill sets than we did today

Is this another intolerant Islamaphobic thread or have missed something?

I genuinely believe and hope England will do it and the fros will crumble. (Yes I am a jock and I supporting England in the next one.

So if you wear a green shirt you can lie on the rucks, seal off the ball and come in from the side but not if your shirt is blue - guess where the ref was from - could smell the onions form here

We were crap (scotland) no international home nations team should go down like that - disgusted. Right comeon England spank the garlic munchers and wipe that smile off the irish faces.
-
Very reasonable prices compared to what's around me in the country/farmer stores. Need to spell check some of it though - good luck
-
Still say England - I am not english but they have not clicked yet and they will today. World Cup tickets in the lottery I got; Scotland V USA 1/4 A Semi A Expensive but how chuffed am I?
-
Yes that sound about the same as my issues - I am going to speak with the farmer on monday and suggest I snare to help get numbers down and give me time to build the kit that treecreeper has shown me. Salivating at the thought of both. Also had a very kind offer from another forum member to ferret the furry fiends. Just as an aside this forum is the dogs

Now that is a bit of kit as they say - thanks a lot for that will be getting the old iron and dremmell out then

Firearms/ Shotgun Advice.....

Hi Mate, I don't want to be the harbinger of doom here but I shall try and answer some points in in a non-emotive manner (beware some people will just gob off and not really help) - I cannot comment on what your mates individual circumstances are but hypothetically; A breach of the peace - does not technically exist in law as it is subjective on each case - they don't "last" they are over as soon as one or another party has been removed. Someone can be held overnight in certain circumstances, of which there are loads. Theoretically a complaint about not receiving a receipt will usually res -
How about this then; Wales by 25 minimum Scotland by 5 England by 25 England win the whole thing as I said they would before they started. Any thoughts?
-
Brill - much appreciated.

Ignore my last then comms bad in error
-
treecreeper, any chance of posting your specs and sources or should I look on another part of the forum before I get told off ?
-
Nice one treecreeper - that is a lot less than I thought - some more research needed me thinks

Great chaps - I shall try all of the above. In my walk-abouts I have found 4 large warrens and I have only covered a third of the permission - have not even gone over the other side of the river yet so lamps it is and then snares (Knocked some up today) to cull a bit and maintain numbers by shooting - now that sound like a plan. I will need to save up for some nite vision as I have now (today) been asked to sort some rats out on another place - flippin'eck I may even try and build one - now there is a challenge.
-
I am down in Shropshire - I think snaring is the way to go - got some time off and I reckon I should be able to knock some up and can check them regularly. Mrs Won't let me have Ferretts tried that one At the very least I can learn as I go having watched some on the toob as you say its not rocket science. And the farmer will see I am making an effort. He has hinted that the neighbors (flippin' yank spellchecker) farm has an issue too so looks like I could be quite busy for a while - yum yum Off to get wire and eyelets tomorrow and I always have loads of para-chord about so should be okay
