  1. My Rapid 17 mk1,had it from nealy new,not been messed with and as accurate as anything. As for a springer my TX 200 sr also .177 ,love it. ATB Jez.
  2. Bought a secondhand mk1 177 years ago, had a lot of use at times over the last 15,16 years and had a lot of other PCPs to shoot. Have springers to which are my preference, but will never sell the Rapid 17.Its standard not been messed with, built like a tank and not had any problems and as accurate as anything I have shot. ATB Jez
  3. Matt I certainly will and will be asking some advice if that's OK ? It may be a while as I have other projects on the go at the moment such as a kitchen and bathroom for "she who must be obeyed" and its difficult to stay in the shed for any amount of time and being found out !. Happy new year. Jez
  4. I have a .22 Sumatra, not the carbine version which in hindsight would have been the better choice for me. Looks are a little "tarty" with the hunting scene on the action but shoulders and shoots well. Build quality appears good, excellent in parts, wood work is nice. Have had it for a couple of years, not a lot of use but fun when I do with its western style cocking and revolving magazine. Jez.
  5. Thanks very much for your welcome guys. Jez
  6. Hi all, just joined the HLF and read this topic all the way through and learned a bit more. I am lucky enough to own a SFS 97 and 98 both .177, love them both. Bought a 99 .22 last Christmas for my boy but have used it more myself and its a cracking rifle out the box. The intention was for Tony Wall to do his magic on it but when time allows I am thinking of doing my own fettling on it after reading Matt's exploits. Thanks for the inspiration. Jez
  7. Hi all, I have always been interested in countryside matters, agriculture wildlife ect. Shooting has been a hobby for a long time. Have had shotguns and 22lr in the past but mostly air rifles have been my passion. Have joined the hunting life forum because of its broader interests than other forums and look forward to contributing in some way.ATB Jez
