    It stays as a pistol and must be kept under 6 foot pounds, otherwise it becomes a Section 5 firearm, as I guess you are aware. I was aware, that's actually the answer I was looking for! I have a 2240 and is possible to lengthen the barrel add a stock etc and make it the same as a 2250 which is classified as a rifle... I was just wondering what would constitute a carbine or. Rifle is there a point a specific length etc? I think my question may have scared a few people or was so stupid that no one wanted to answer lol! Was just looking for info?     We all asked the same question! These boys are the experts, wish I had asked them first! I bought a cheap smk and the difference that you can get for 50 quid (bucks) is honestly out of this world! It seems hard but for the sake of another month you will be a happy shooter

    What constitutes (legally) a carbine? Is it the barrel? I am just wondering! Doing a mod to a pistol and wondered at what point does it become a rifle? It's for target shooting so I am ok with it under the 6ftlb, any advice would be grateful Atb ade

    Thanks for that matey, let me know how you get on with it, was trying to film a shot with my phone by leavinig it near by but am scared I will spank a hex nut into it lol! Obviously I could get a tripod and all that malarkey but for little money the quality looked good!

    I used danish oil to bring out the grain, 4 coats with some sanding in between then got a spray, clear plastic stuff! Comes up a treat on mine, next is to try some inlay work on the handle

    thanks gents, i have been shifting it about but its hard on your own!! next catty I make this weekend i am making a hole for my torch and seeing how i get on... Was out today got a lovely tree rat square in the chest 10 yards took him clean outta the tree with a hexnut on dbl TBG's but i think i am gonna swap to the singles for lamping later i dont seem to have the accuracy on the doubles when i go out a bit further, will singles still have enough thwack?

    Hey all, has anyone any tips for head lamping with a catty? Have tried it (got a new head torch) but the beam is always pointing away from what I am aiming at lol! If that makes sense I end up messing about and the bunny has done a runner.. Is there something obvious I am getting wrong or just play around with the technique a while?
