  1. My Tess had the same prolem when she was a little older, and they gave her and antibiotic cream which cleared it up, but it kept coming back. Someone recommended cotton wool dipped in cold tea (no sugar or milk ) and dabbed gently on the eye. Worked a treat
  2. GOd I wish mine would swim like that. One of mine has a bad back and is meant to be swimming 3 times a week at the moment it is 1 1/2 hour round trip to the nearest hydrotherapy pool but we live on the Thames, however she'll only go in if I go too
  3. We'll be there do say hi if you see us. We're quite distinctive too- smallish white lurcher bitch with one black ear and little black whippet cross with very pricked ears
  4. Thanks very much for the replies- very interesting . In the picture the mink's face was extremely similar to a ferret face, but the rest was hard to tell.

    Gorgeous little baby
  6. Ok this IS really silly I expect. I was looking at a picture of an American Mink in a magazine this evening and thought that it was a ferret. How can you tell the difference between a brown ferret and a mink. Also biologically what are the differences- can they interbreed- are they different species???????? I know that they are aquatic and have slightly shorter looking bodies, but how different are they?

  9. Hi, My name is Olivia. I have two lurchers. Tess is a black 22 month old whippet with a touch of bedlington and greyhound. Nana is white, she's about 2, she came from Lurcherbitch (sheya) and we think she's probably a whippet/greyhound, possibly with a touch of collie, she's a wonder dog. Tess isn't very well at the moment . She's been lame on and off since Jan and we've finally traced it to a weekness in her spine- the ligaments are too loose and when she jumps or twists the vertebrae press on her spinal cord. The vet thinks we'll be able to sort it out by swimming.
