cheers yeah it makes it all the more frustrating when you come away empty handed? Did get to watch some deer through my nightvision and do some star gazing . maybe I was too busy looking up lol .

went out after bunnies friday night and only fired gun twice miss judged the range first shot second time was to empty the gun . So I am going again tonight and I am not going home till I get something could be a long outing .its a seventy mile round trip to my permission so I don't usually go twice in a week but Friday night the cold and mist beat me so did the bunnies

Just opened the worst tin of pellets ever.got these through the post with a hawke rangefinder washed them as usual just drying them off and noticed two badly damaged pellets not just the skirts but the whole pellets were deformed then on closer inspection I pulled out forty there may be more? the actual tin was ok no damage on it .the pellets are aa diablo field. must have been damaged in transit this is the first tin I have ever had through the post.lesson learned I will always buy from shop in the future .

A little disappointing this morning just two bunnies . Good shots though given the weather wind was gusting I only took the two shots I was ok with both 30 to 33 mtrs .could have had a couple more but wind was to unpredictable seemed to be coming from all directions. Gave a fox a fright he was so busy sniffing the ground he came to within 20 mtrs of me .never seen a fox run so fast once I made a noise .good luck to anyone out latter.

That's not good mate .you will just have to watch some hunting clips on you tube or read a few airgun mags till you can get out

just about to set rifle up with nv then zero . Off to permission tonight about midnight usually do a long session till about six.should be a few bunnies about haven't been for a while foxes and heavy mist spoiled my fun last time

Stripped 97 down again after trigger would not operate .after refurb I could not get safety catch to work it would go back in rifle ok but when I cocked rifle the safety would shoot out.this happened six times so I was getting fed up with stripping the damn thing . So when it shot out sixth time I could not find spring so I made one and put it back together .worked great then it just all locked up . On stripping it down again I found safety spring was wedged in trigger the spring hadn't shot out as I had thought .anyway it's all back together now and working ok . Over the weekend I will fire

skan chrono arrived today looks a good bit of kit . I will get the 97 on it over weekend .

my mate at work is selling his hw100 .from what he has said its a mlk1 I think I need to find out for sure . I have here'd they wasn't too accurate and some guys had bsa barrels fitted . Not sure what to offer for it .oh the 97 is sounding much sweeter now stripped it down and put it back together .i will explain more when I have time got some pics too .

if springers are that good why do we all spend money trying to make them shoot like pcps

One thing that really does become apparent when you have been used to pcps then shoot a springer is how the gun moves about .from the age of 15 I always shot springers didn't give recoil much thought but now I can feel all the movement the gun makes.i do take my hat off to all the guys that can shoot springers well

just got my hw 97 back together .its got Welsh willy spring kit fitted all polished internals.what can I say it makes a Right row when it's fired .only fired it a few times I've got to get power checked but I don't think I will use it much .think I will stick to the airwolf it's like a Bentley and the 97 is a tractor.i know I am missing the point with springers but after using a pcp a springer is like going back to the stone age .

Crombo do sound good for what you pay .so do the f1 but after reading about the skan I think I will go for one of these cant really afford it but what the heck. Just hope it gets delivered when wife is out.

Hi guys need to buy a nice colour wood stain for my beech stock .thinking of cheery wood then several coats of tru oil .any ideas guys .
