    Was out last on some wheat fields, not the best weather for it, no wind, a bit of mist and the keeper were riding about looking for foxes but still got my mate's 9 month old pup 4 in her mouth, her sire is deerhound x grey x beddy x grey put to a 3\4 grey 1\4 collie and her dam is whippet x greyhound. She's 23'' and fast as feck with a good strike on her, I'm looking forward to seeing her next season and wish I had her in my kennels.

    Not much in them yesterday but only 4 mile down the road on a spot last week there was young running all over.

    was out at the end of last week with a mate and his 9 month old lurcher on a spot and we packed in after a couple of hour because of too many young but yesterday there was none.

    Just under three and half mate.In her prime then, I asked as wondered if she was slowing down through age a bit,but obviously not ,the lurcher pup is certainly getting a fair burst of speed,and using his hearing now ,very quick off the start. The whippet's not the fastest whippet I've owned but she is fast enough and she is the best catching whippet I've owned or seen, she will work all day on any ground 2 to 3 times a week and touch wood she's never been lame. The lurcher is fast, she would go past most whippets I've seen.
