yeah,the sprite does work(apparently its the co2 that makes it tender?)) oh,the steak in mushroom sauce was nice! a can of campbells mushroom soup,10 fl oz of milk,simmer in a pan wi sliced mushrooms. fry steak in butter and garlic and put in the sauce to finish! lovely.

last two stews i did,i marinated in sprite overnight.....spot on!heard about it from a post on here... yeah,might try the curry! found a nice recipe for venison steak in mushroom sauce though aswell...

getting bored of venison roast,stew and steak! lol,anyone got any different ideas on what to do with it? i love it but you know how it is....too much of a good thing!lol

outshooting,cant remember which site it was now,i just googled rabbit distress calls and fox/predator calls. the best one was from an american coyote shooting site of some sort!

not a trapping mishap but fiunny enough to share,i was out shooting on my own one wet night,shot a rabbit at the bottom of a ten foot bank(i was at the top)anyway,went to walk down to get it only it was a bit slippy so forced me into more of a run,anyway at the bottom,my (new) wellys decided enough was enough and we parted company which was bad enough but i then fell and the lamp battery executed a perfect arc,smacking me smartly in the back of the head. i retrieved my rabbit and wellies and walked to the motor,sore head,squelching wellies and a very dirty air rifle!

downloaded that one and found another few,one of which worked well........... just got in,very wet and cold but had a good walk!

well.heard a lot of pro's and con's but i think for the price i may aswell find out for myself! like the look of thw xs19 so will let you know what i think.... as for the comments on recoil,would a strip,polish and relube help that do you think?

our lass is spot on,doesnt mind me doing any of it,has been out with me and the dogs and even lamping on occasions..she helps to clean any quarry ive taken and loves to eat it(theres a venison stew on the stove now thats meant to be for tomorrow but she won't leave it alone! )and to say she wasnt brought up around hunting she's doing well!(her mothers a different matter though............ )

i dont hang anything longer than overnight except deer which gets 3 or 4 days.just right!

my uncle has a beretta trap gun worth a fortune and a cheap baikal o/u worth about 120 new!. i shoot clays with him and i love the baikal.out of the two i always ask for that one!(i use his guns when we shoot together)its not price that matters its how you get on with the gun(which in turn boosts confidence!)

we used to have a low door in an outhouse that i had to duck to go through(im 6'2") had it raised and even though i can walk through stood straight,i still duck! and i hold my head down when walking downstairs in the dark too!lol,feck knows why!

my uncle up until a few years ago was head keeper at a large estate not far from york and he said in the late 70's, him and my dad were out shooting charlie on the estate when they came across a large "cat" anyway,it was duely shot(!)on inspection it was (his words,not mine) "about the size of a fox,jet black but with large,heavy teeth more like dog teeth than cats" anyway,they didnt know what to make of it so buried it in a ditch and forgot about it!

i do live on a council estate actually!with a transit van on the drive!lol(no p***y jokes please,heard em all before!) maybe they were having a nosey around as there's me and 3 mates who live in this street,all within eighty yards of each other who have running dogs or terriers........

just had them at the door collecting...they wanted 1.50 a wk!!lol,he asked if i had pets,i replied yes,i have dogs. he asked what type,i replied lurchers... he said "oh......but you are against cruelty to aninals,aren't you??" i told him i was and you could see the "yeah right"look on his face! idiot! so i told him id rather give my money to the nspca and they only ask for 2 quid a month!! really annoyed me!
