  1. well, finally got mine back together, cleaned, polished and relubed. reassembled easily apart from the trigger(sears slightly polished) which i thought would be a pain(pm me if you have trouble with it) but 3 trial and errors and its back in place. i only replaced the breach seal as every thing else looked in good order.it cocks and shoots a lot smoother and sweeter now and should improve as it beds in as there is a tiny bit of dieseling. i decided just to strip and paint the stock matt black,i know its not to a lot of peoples taste,me included! but its just to tidy it up when its dry i will get
  2. well mine is OLD but once out,the main spring is straight as a die and looks brand new. as does the piston head so a degrease and polish, relube and back together for mine! will let you know how i go and try and get some pics up.

    when ?

just leave them alone mate, they're hardly much sport with an air rifle anyway! unless beaten and flushed even an idiot could shoot em at ground. stick to paper til you can no longer risk mistakes and only then should you target quarry such as rabbits and corvids etc.
  4. any condition as long as it cocks and barrel is straight. .22 or .25. wanted for tuning and restore project so can be as rough as !!
  5. i think the logun has more than enough power for airgun use. although clulites are good lamps too.

    silver scope

suppose so......spraying has never been my strong point though.lol.there used to be loads of cheap n cheerful silver scopes on the market. not enough demand for them i guess....
  7. logun gun lamp. small, light, compact, more than powerful enough and tough as old boots!wouldnt use anything else now.

    silver scope

that'll do! our lass should at least hit whatever she points her 20 quids worth of airgun at! lol i was thinking more around 20/30 quid!!!
  10. im in the middle of stripping an old meteor to restore and the blacking is in such bad cond,i've decided to strip it back to bare metal and clear laquer it instead(going for the nickel look!lol)thing is,can anyone reccomend a cheap, silver scope to match it? 4x32 or 4x40. nothing flash cos its only to be used for plinking by my better half!

    when ?

maybe so unless......................."inles its just a mistake and hits somwer close 2 the head and gets chance to run off or fly off ..." that would be a funny statement if it didnt involve a bird suffering! when shooting any gun at live quarry there should be NO mistakes.(plus, flinty asks when the season is,THEN says he's shot them before............ )
  12. oh,if not confident,have a look at T.W Chambers online,they have printable,exploded diagrams for this(and other) airguns.
  13. lol, today i have just started the same! got an old meteor, mechanically sound but in major need of a strip, clean and relube. im no expert on airgun workings but the strip down was very easy.not many parts and pretty obvious as to what goes where(useful for the rebuild!lol)only thing is the trigger.to remove the piston, you have to remove the mechanism,at least i did as it seemed the easiest option.although a very simple piece i have a feeling it wont go back as easily... should just be a case of fiddling though!i hope.... as for the stock,i was thinking just the same thing.so let us know how yo

  16. yeah,i intend to be honest on it,i AM law abiding nowadays!lol. what about juvenile stuff? i have a few, very minor things from being a kid too.....
  17. let us know how you get on wi that ferretman? i think ill have mine applied for now!! i shoot with mates and use their guns but its always nice to have your own pride and joy!lol
  18. whats the law regarding applying for one if you have convictions? i have one conviction for assault(unfortunately!) about 7 yrs ago and have been told that ANY convictions for violence and dont bother even trying for one......... i understand the reasoning for this but surely there must be some sort of timeline after which i can apply and be treated the same as someone with no record?i have plenty of land to shoot over and plenty of people already holding shotgun and fac's who would be character witness's for me etc.

  21. for sale, 10 weeks old, liver and white. sale due to no fault of its own...it's my dad's dog and he doesn't have the time for it. it's pedigree, but no papers. lovely temperament etc and comes from working stock. based in york. £250 or vno.
  22. just been given one,its .177,plain beech stock in used but good condition with no rust and all blacking intact.power seems reasonable althogh not up to hunting. thing is,the rear sight is at the rear of the action, not on the barrel.and its a (very wide, inaccurate)peephole style.anyone seen these beforeif so,any info? ie age and power when new?
