  1. Right enough one at top saying future workers lol
  2. Not great pictures wouldn't stay still, 8 weeks old
  3. Am looking for a terrier myself can't get one in this country but willing to travel over the pond preferably along west coast Scotland, north west England or north Wales must be genuinly working 110% obviously would need to see it being dug to, oh and I don't care about color as long as it works pm me cheers.
  4. Happy days atb with her am sure you will keep thl posted on how she is doing for you, I will be very interested to see how she gets on good luck
  5. Are parents both earth dogs really interested in them, don't see many now all I see is hard blacks or lakies. This dog is a sounder, probably why we have got so many seasons out of him, now retired due to his health very tempting to dig him though not worth loosing him after he has earned his crust and place. What way do parents work
  6. Is all this man's breeding broken coat. I like them type Russell not enough of them being worked IMO,we have a pure white smooth coat dog with 2 tan patches on his head. what age is the wee bitch and is she spannable
  7. Our Russell is 9 years old now 2 seasons ago on the last dig of our season he collapsed/seizure, then 4/5 weeks ago same happened but took him longer to come round than previously. Went to vets and he discovered he had a heart murmur, he is now retired from digging, maybe bread too close
  8. Exactly what I said everything getting totally twisted away from the original question and as you say it's like most of the other threads on here
  9. My fawn lurcher has been laying up all week, down in dumps and lost weight, I put him inside and as Micky said used dry food and plenty of fresh clean water, and today thankfully he has a bit of bounce back in his step again, maybe working too much plus that weather ain't good
  10. Yeah didn't sell them all I kept 1 Russell dog and 1 lurcher who are still here today, and have said before I got 2 pups out of that wee bitch and have said also I dont mind if I have have to wait until next year for the pups but would be nice to have something to bring the pups on and show it the ropes so to speak. I still work the lurcher 3 nights of the week just hard to beat a good dig
  11. Worked for grahams on mainland and in orkney was Morrison construction from Inverness, met some good lads from paisley big into their horse racing Orkney are just odd as I have ever seen but lads I met and worked with were brand new pal
  12. No mate I was working in Irvine on a couple of private developments for for 6 months then went to orkney and done a couple of houses in stromness then kirkwall grammar school, back down to paisley and worked on port Glasgow school was traveling back and forth for couple of years
  13. Am not bothered mate tbh, but when asked was it to make money I gave an honest answer, and as said before I gave a black away, who today in this country is serving alot of bitches if it was money i could have sold him but i gave him to a working home
  14. What is this Romeo and Juliet talking about heart, im looking for a dog not a wife, Christ, and like on alot of threads here people don't read the whole post I did say 250, which (not that its anyone's business) was used to pay for a boat and 2 weeks digs in a pokey flat in paisley, where I got work. Now back to the reason for this IS ANYONE SELLING A WORKING TERRIER OR ONE AT THE AGE OF STARTING??? if so pm me if not don't bother writing, simple.... Don't spin this into something that does not relate to the question or post in hand. I have noticed it is always the same people who twist posts
  15. Point is there are people here questioning me about selling dogs, point I did not sell Kaiser I gave him to his breeder I am not here to make money if I wanted to make money from dogs I would breed king Charles spaniels or some other sort of fanny licker,
  16. Yet again very constructive, and yet again trying to push away from what was originally asked, how come you didn't comment when I asked about the black patterdale Kaiser, everyone I speak to has heard of him or seen him work, a dog that I reared from 6 weeks and got started and when I let him go he was given back to the man that bred him no money passed hands
  17. Mate I have traced the bitch and 2 pups came home with me, and have also had a previous post looking for another dog Kaiser and am getting close thanks the the genuine guys on thl, I have had a couple of offers of dogs around a year old through pm but nothing has suited me as yet, if I can get a pup out of Kaiser I will, hold onto next year and make do with the lurcher for now.
  18. Good man ,always have something constructive to say, question was any working terriers for sale or at the right age how does that get twisted around questioning someone's integrity,
  19. Money was not a goal see when your on ur ass with no job, 3 kids to feed paying a mortgage with whatever savings was once there.priority come first and i will always put my children ahead of any dog only reason that bitch was sold was to put food on my table But am in a better place now than 3 years ago, I gave the hunting game up 3 years ago and have lost contact with guys I hunted with. Plus there is alot of shite being bred I thought THL would have been the place to find some decent blood from real terrier men.
  20. I did say ONE of the best fox bitches, anyone who knows her breeding and has seen her work would agree, cheers
  21. Yea mate I always go for a trial when buying any working dog I prefer to pay the extra money for a trial, what sort of money are terriers fetching, last one I sold was wee black patt bitch, 3 seasons under her belt probably one of the best fox bitches in the country for 250quid and that's what I was offered I didn't put a price on her, told the guy to take her for a month and trial her and if he liked her to pay what he thought she was worth and that's what he paid, that wee bitch is now 7 and still going well, I have a pup out of her now for next season to start
  22. Tell me bout it know it's slim to no chance, no harm askin
  23. Anyone in Ireland selling a working terrier or one that's at right age to start, not best time mid season but need one as we have retired our JRT
  24. Cheers for replies, jeemes what's difference in goats milk and ordinary full fat cows milk
