    Been out and shot a bunny thismorn so got the skin drying and i'll wrap his retreiving toy in it and get him used to that for now

    He's just getting road walks for now and if i am on the fields he's on his lead if theres any bunnies around. He's also just stalked and killed a pigeon in the back garden!

    Theres plenty of places to go, just this field backs onto my house so its convinient after work ect, but its just rabbits galore, maybe not a good thing for a dog of his age dont want to ruin him

    My beddy x grey pup is 4 and 1/2 months, and on the field we walk on behind my house its rife with rabbits, each night he's showed more of an interest in the furry critters until last night he's coursing one around the field. I put him on his lead and kept him on it until we got off the field. Should i now keep him on his lead to prevent spoiling him or damaging him??

    Every farm ive tried, unless you have a tweed jacket a shotgun and a spaniel by yourside they just turn there nose up

    Im wanting to learn abit more about ferreting i live in yorkshire and would be gratefull if when the right time of season comes anyone would show me the ropes, ive had ferrets before when i was about 12 but kind of struggled along never knew if i was doing it right. Cheers

    I think if i said i wanted to sit in a hedge with an airgun and shoot a few rabbits it wouldnt be a problem, but as sonn as you mention a lurcher they think your the fecking devil or something

    Just going to have to keep trying, ive tried most the local farms so im going to have to move abit further out, atleast there plenty of flat land and farms to go at around here

    Had an early finish from work the other day, thought it would be a good time to go hunting for permission for the future I started with the farms closest to me which i had no luck well i had no luck at all as it happens but thats not the point. I went to one farm where a woman answered the door i explained that i was a local lad hoping for some permission ferreting , shooting with an air rifle or taking a lurcher.     Got a pup of about 15week old now and he's always been inside, ive never kept any of my previous dogs inside but when i got this one at 8weeks i thought id put him in a cage in the kitchen. Pups doing sound but it just doest seem right having the dog inside. Is it too late too have him in a kennel outside??
