back on the road again, making our way to the box..... by this time it was hoofing it down.... get the HM in the back of the jeep... and me... the feckers... wanted some good pics... Here's another good day, again on foot... as you can see it was snowing..... the day started of cold and freezing, little did we expect a massive point, feck me, saw them heading off into a different county... bye now......... it's snowing...

This was a good day, me the huntsman, his boy and shortfuse on foot... we had some good sport... bit blurred but effective... I've got 5 photobucket accounts 4 of them are full....... and that's just hunting got two family ones also.

I would say the opposite seems more true. I've rarely read posts in the lurcher section that one didn't refer to their lurchers as " keen as mustard" Seems not matter what two you put together most will say their's are excellent on the lamp and catch two out of three. Will someone get real on how many of these lurchers or longdogs actually make the grade. You guys are getting me to believe that 100 % or nearly 100% make the grade. Doubt very much if the success rate is anything like 100% in fact it's probably nothing like it, so we have a dillema in that 1 everyones idea of a worker is d

agreed Was that a hint of sarcasm or did i miss something... no mate sorry missed you out saw his post first wasn,t aimed at you just in general people blame dog instead of themseves yes unless you are buying a garenteed dog of someone you know thats up and going no pup is 100% to do the job you want but you have a better chance of a good one from tried tested stock thats produceing time and time again no not you, the other bit in bold...

my take on it... worker to worker, line bred, cull hard, then after a few generations hopefully you will have a line that does the business............. in a perfect world... (if it were as easy as that then we'd be breeding racing greyhounds and racehorses) I wouldn't buy a pup if it were from two first crosses just because they worked..... all sorts of reasons why... I'd have a bash at 1st cross, hybrid vigour and all that... bull, collie, terrier, whatever

i know what i would chose but its personal choice but ideally you need to know what was in the make up of the sire and the dam unless the pups come from someone you trust you need to know cause puppy pedlers will tell you anything ive bought from a known source were i know the breeding and they have been repeat breedings that have come good i bred my dog a few times only to bitches that are good and i know there backgrounds and they were all good workers and threw true too type ? is this what you are saying ?

I take it this is purely a lurcher, worker to worker question........ where do you start,, for instance Joe down the road has got his 1st cross bull/grey (it works) you got a first cross bull grey it too works, would you breed them... and why ??? I've got an ex track greyhound, done alright at the track, never seen a wabbit... not exceptional but sound in structure, health, mind etc... No worries mate, I put it down to experience and blamed myself... a lot has changed in my life over the last few weeks and I have moved to pastures new...... My GSD's are doing fine, both owners keep ringing me and telling me how good mannerered and well trained they are... Which I knew anyway... My Lurcher bitch is doing fine, Just wish she was with me now... Fecking game everywhere..... And my terriers, that came with me are settling in well... When I get some time I'll fill u all i as to what I'm doing !!! nice pics jack im putting that hard fell dog on nickys bitch
