  1. Rc 40's are a great cartridge, got a mate that swears by them. I normally use gamebore mammoth 50g BB's if looking for foxes but to be fair I've probs shot most with victory 35g 5's when not looking for them and the dogs flushed one out of cover!
  2. Alright mate do the 2 Jill's look more like the polecat? I'd take them if they do!
  3. Never had an armsan so couldn't comment on them but I've had a hatsan for about 6 months and never had a problem, got the 3" camo model for a good price and couldn't be happier with it, hear lots of horror stories on here about them so there must be some bad ones about but I've shot thousands of rounds through mine, never go below 70mm cartridges and its only ever jammed once! A friend had a bit of bother with his jamming not long ago but he replaced the o-ring on the gas valve and its good as new. For the money I can't fault mine!
  4. I have half choke in both barrels of the o/u and half in the auto, it's a good all rnd choke and for me if you stick to the same choke you learn to shoot more consistent, def for clays, same choke and cartridges every week and after that learn to point the gun in the right place! For game I normally use black gold 32g 6's in fibre, pigeons I use hull superfast 27g 7.5's fibre that I use for clays, same half chokes and never have a problem with clean kills!
  5. I bought my hatsan after being recommended by keeper friends, stay clear of the 3 1/2" model unless you wanna shoot heavy loads all the time as they can start jamming on light clay loads, never had a problem with my 3" magnum, shoots clays as well as my beretta and at £400 ya ain't worried about clashing it about in the field or foreshore! I really can't fault it, give it a good clean every couple of outings a light lube and it goes bang every time! Got plenty of mates that use them for work guns and they all say the same, great gun for the money!
  6. Hello there, new to the site but love shooting, dogs, ferrets and everything country life . Looking forward to reading through the forum and getting to know people. Cheers.
  7. Bought a hatsan 3" a few months ago and never had a problem with it! Never jams, shot about 1000 rounds through it and its spot on, paid £400 for it new and for the money it's a great gun!
