  1. .....night three and by god what a night. I got to the field around 2030 hours and immediately I could see it was going to be a fruitful night. I quickly bombed up and set around stalking these rabbits. First thing I saw in range at about 55 yards was a pigeon. Cheers easy. I switched over to the JSB Heavies, and really really impressed. I'm sure I can inflict alot more damage now iv got used to the pellet. it was going to be a epic night...... 12 rabbits (3 I left out in the field) and a pigeon. But I wasnt done there...I quickly dashed home about 2200, had a brew and
  2. Cheers lads, the wife's at work tonight so I'm going to have a good blast again
  3. I'm used to shooting things at very long range. it's my job.
  4. I'm happy with the hold over but what's the point when I can get within 50 - 60 yards of them using prior planning. I like the stalk to be honest lol
  5. Yeah, it's just having a new FAC rifle. Getting used to its limits
  6. Thos one is a sly old dog, he's going to have a shock when the wolverine turns up
  7. Second night out....better than last night by far when i went back to pick my kills up I was missing 4 (i think Mr Fox was following me)
  8. There are literally hundreds of rabbits. Sadly the permission is a funny one, but whilst iv got a bit if leave I'm going to hit it hard, mornings and evenings
  9. Should I just clean them and crack on?
  10. I'm not sure, there isn't much in it from 40 yards to 60 yards. The bis mag's are a bit heavy I'm going to try a 18grain pellet to try and achieve a flat trajectory
  11. no buddy im a believer in spending a few hours with targets set out at various ranges. I don't tend to shoot more than 65 yards with it.
  12. Had a walk around a old permission which I over shot last summer with the new FAC MK4. Again its impressed me. I was only out for a hour due to a late start as it was simply bloody hot today. I did the normal route and shot 7 in total....and to be honest once I get used to the FAC air rifle I think I can double those figures. Also id like to show off my Daystate Leather Sling Sorry about the poor images i forgot my digital camera so it was the iphone that was used. Also im going to start doing a few more videos so look out.
  13. Some of the rounds in my boxes of 50 have a dirty residue on it. It cleans off with a bit of cloth but im worried it might be something to worry about. Iv had them second hand, and as of yet it seems to be ok, however the other night i was out shooting rabbits and a few shots caused a big plume of smoke out of the silencer. The silencer is brand new so its not dirty, so I wonder if its the ammo? Have a look please guys. Cheers, Craig
  14. This scope is truely lovely, old school Nikko Sterling Platinum Classic. I.e. this scope was made back in the day before mas production and therefore you can tell its made properly. The glass is so clear, quite sad iv got to sell it. Duplex Reticle, comes with mounts etc. £75
  15. I was thinking about a .22LR but my .17 HMR is brill. What's the advantages of .22LR over .17 HMR?
  16. i was thinking of buying one, i even had it put on my ticket.....but a .25 80lb Air Ranger would do a similar job and it has a better shot count. Love the Wolverine thou, i just couldnt live with the shot count
  17. Im not sure about yours compared to mine. The action is silent witht he A-Tec silencer....its the crack of the round passing through the sound barrier which you hear on mine. But to be honest your that far away the rabbits dont mind to much. you can easily hit at 150 yards no dramas. Iv got a .22 Daystate MK4 in FAC and its near silent and kills out to 70yards easy. and a tin of 21grn pellets is like a fiver the best brand.
  18. There is still place on some of my permissions for my air rifle. But truely this rifle is amazing. Hitting rabbits at 200 plus yards.
  19. Finally got to grips with my CZ 452. I cant get over how accurate the .17 HMR round is. Love it, so glad i went through the hassle of getting a FAC. Sorry about the poor photos
  20. I think ill just get it done by a specialist lol. My Gun is a work in progress, and she's nearly sexy as hell
  21. Peanut butter = No Good Mixed Nuts = Top result!!! I was in the forest at 5am set the nuts on a tree stump and found a bit of cover about 60/70 yards away and then just waited. Bam ..... Shot 7 on the bounce.
  22. The blurring on my barrel of my CZ is looking a bit old. Is there a way I can blue it back up, bare in mind I'm a novice and I'm worried about ruining it. My mate used blueing kit and now it's gone blotchy. Advice and ideas please gents.
