I sometimes work wood piles, with stop nets some of these warrens are a fair length, and if on my own, an Albino, or Sandy is better for me to keep it in sight, than a Polecat. thats the only reason, Thats why im after light ferrets got a lot of heavy cover unless I put a hiviz on me poles lol
-
Im just after a light coloured fert as its states b.e.w sandy or albeno not fussed as long as its light.

They look crackin ferts mate..ive had over 50 views on my classified adds and ive had offers but all way to far ive even extented distance to 50 mile radios still nothing. positive is I do pick 1 up on friday from a hunting life member and he has kept me up to date all through the kits life so far..I just dont know if there are not many doing working ferts good diet.etc in my area or im just to late or it may just come down to who you know.. Gaz made a good point it does come down to a good variety. But reading all on this post it seems that I was wrong and many do not just give tinned food.

If you know any farmers guarantee they will have some

Errr Actually, people are saying dry food. This doesn't always mean cat biscuits. I said I feed mine dry, but it's ferret food. Different composition, hell it even smells completely different, and to be completely honest, in times of desperation, (twice) I have fed mine cat biscuits because I ran out of ferret dry. They produce similar waste on dry ferret feed as they do when fed meat, because they are similar composition in nutrients, just that one has less water content. However, the occasions they were fed cat food, they were different. Dry, does not mean bad. Im not on about dry cat food

Some do give hole I just prefer giving them just meat and taking out the yoke as thats crap but its just personal preference mate.
-
Thing is 99% of people no cat food is veg starch and water its crap but so many still feed kits with it Im hearing freezer space, cost etc as reasons why they give them crap I pay £7.50 for 200 d.o.c.s £8.00 for james welbeloved £15.50 that will last over 3 month over the summer they get35% proteins they need, and the fat content (my docs are skinned and deyoked)

Wish u were closer good luck mate

I started this post to show how difficult it can be to find a good kit ie diet and handling and from good working stock and its bin intresting to read people's opinions on this subject.. I use J.W dry and meat through the summer reason being ive seen the results in so many ferrets over the years that still work at 8 years old and I know ferrets that have being feed on cat food live to 5.they may live longer this is based on what ive witnessed. So no I wont buy a kit that has being brought up on cat food and this is my point the minute I put on my classified ads no cat food feed I get nooooo r

Ive put up many posts looking for a 2 black eyed whites, sandy ,or albeno jills within my area of stoke on trent with no joy so it seems I will need to travel further. So any breeders within a 50 mile radius would be great Cheers guys
-
Jills having a swollen vulva for a long time cant be good in my opinion you would have to clean it everyday to stop infection if you dont plan on breeding have them spayed or use a vac hob...I have mine spayed before there first season I never have any side effects or fantom pregnancies..
-
Well I feel sorry for the ones just starting out and not knowing getting all set up pens ferret finders nets etc stiking a post up for kits putting trust in them and not realising that cat food is s###..im probably like alot of others on this forum I would not hasatate in paying or giving donation towards a good raised kit.. well if anyone knows someone who has a good bunch of kits pm me please I have posted in classifieds..
