  8. Good afternoon people, I have a hw35 here and want a nylon or delrin spring guide making for it can anyone help ATB Nathan
  9. Oh I see! Yea that does like familiar I will have a look at that now and let you know how it goes, thanks again mate
  10. If the spring was over powered would that have an effect on the recoil because it seems like it has a bit much this may be due to the standard spring guide though
  11. Cheers mate I'm gunna have a run out tonight with it to see if I can get the ferrets some propper food
  12. I could be wrong mate but if the gun was bought new and has not been apart it shouldn't be shooting over 12 do you lube your pellets prior. Although bisley magnums are a heavy pellet there are heavier out there, what I would do if I was you is yptry and find some extremely heavy pellets and then stick 50 of them through it and to reveals the barrel then chrono a string of 20 and see what results you get, the police have possession of my hw97kt and have just sent me the report and they used pellets that were 18gr It didn't says what they were just the weight. Once you have that result use it as
  13. One thing I always try to remeber when ratting is "rats are spoked by change" another thing I always do is when I call it a day I put more bait down so they can enjoy it in piece it just means once they've got the taste for it itl be more likely for them to return NV is definitely an advantage maybe an NS200, but they are rather expensive for ratting it may not be a bad investment though if you intend to use it on rabbits too. Hope this helps mate ATB Nathan
  14. Hi telfs have you got any pics of it mate
  15. Well I suppose one is better than none why don't you try a bait in a concentrated area. When I go ratting I like to feed them up for a few days with a 50/50 mixture of veg oil and nuttella they go mental for it I also found that they were being spooked to easily by my scope mounted Maglite so decided to try something new. What I did was put some of this bait on a round butter tub lid and placed one of those solar garden lights above it and sooner or later they got used to it, once they are comfortable with it you can sit and take loads . Hope this slightly helps. ATB Nathan
  16. Here it's is up til now but still got loads and loads to do on it
  17. Hi bigmac, I already own a hw97kt in the synthetic thumbhole stock but love to work on old classics
  18. Guy guys, I know it sounds really unrealistic but there are people out there that have old bad condition hw's that could do with the money I bought a hw35 the other week and although it needed work I couldn't complain for 35 quid this is a pic of it now after extensive work and it still isn't finished, it's getting sent away next week to get the barrel shortened, re crowned and unf threaded so it will accept a weihrauch silencer
  19. Good afternoon people, As many of you already know I have been restoring a 40 year old hw35,nude spite the usual snags of a restoration I have noticed that there is slight play at the barrel hinge and although it's only slight at the hinge it's around 2mm at the mussel, I thought it may need a new hinge bolt as it's slightly chewed on the heads, or perhaps new shims either side of the breech. I've even considered giving it a slight tap with a Mallet to nip the end of the cylinder tighter. Any help appreciated guys. ATB Nathan
  20. Hi barrywhite, You may be right as I found the spring in it has loads of preload I literally had to place my whole body weight on it to get it back in. Another problem could occur from the additional 4mm due to the new seal and head adapter, making the overall stroke of the piston 4mm less than it was which in theory could contribute to a decrease in mussel energy, would you agree? Atb Nathan
  21. Thanks barrywhite, I am looking to get it up by 1.5 - 2 ftlb, and can't for the life of me work it out
  22. Hi guys, I was wondering whether you could help me I'm looking to buy one of the stated rifles in any condition. I have £100 All the best, Nathan
