hi martin know colour just rubbed in some boiled linseed oil. if at any time i do have to darken them i will use a little potassium permanganate brushed on to the antlers with a brush if you any more info PM me cheers

I believe the starling wings were for the milliners who used them in hat making. I used to send my pelts salted Just fox skins to veniards they had to be skinned purfect no holes or rips and then I only used to get a tenner if I was lucky,
