  1. Aye tempting ....but no good at recipes
  2. Well ive learnt me lesson......but im looking for a way to deter the cats from coming in the garden i got a 7ft wall all around my rear garden and seen how they climb down the wall at the supporting parts so going to put some mesh up to stop them climbing down. May build a bit of a run so i can put them on the grass whilst cleaning out. If any lads or lasses round the cork area hear of any stinkers up for grabs or coming up please let me know. Would like another one to keep my hob happy and get used to it before the season kicks off.....thanks.
  3. Hope it turns out ok bud.......maybe just a ferret to some but there my best mates and give a lot back and work hard. Gonna have to get another one to keep my hob happy with a playmate.
  4. Aye the FT position is cool unless very muddy ground. I used a pod on my vulcan and didnt really have a problem with it....the thing i found was not to grip the rifle too tight and just let it rest into the shoulder and hold the pistol grip lightly so as to let the rifle recoil as normal.
  5. Was out in the garden and cleaning my stinkers out. They ave the run of the garden when im cleaning them out as its enclosed and they cant get out. Normal madness with them running around like lunatics, then i hear a lot of hissing from near the compost heap and then all hell breaks loose. A big fecking tom cat that the neighbor feeds along with about 20 other bloody cats full on with my jill. b*****d just killed my Jill. Totally gutted, i had prblems with her when i got her snapping all the time but spent a lot of time on her, getting her to be a very handleable stinker. Im bloody raging,
  6. Pure class.......my kids run when i let the stinkers out....unfortunately my boy got bit on the leg by a friends stinker and wont go near em. They go ferreting with me but dont go near them. Good to get him handling them at an early age
  7. Nice looking bit of kit there. Some effort gone into making it too by the looks of it. How heavy is it rughly compared to a wooden one. And would the metal edging be rusting or is it ali?
  8. Cork would be a bit far i suppose.....not out ferreting at the moment too many young uns about, but nearer the season if you fancy a trip down this neck off the woods give me a shout.

  13. Ok lads looking at this email i got to upgrade to outlook.com. I use a live.ie account for my business and wondering if i upgrade to outlook will i still be able to use this email address. Last thing i want is to have to notify everyone and change my business cards to accommodate new email address. Now i did check and it says something about emails will be put in a seperate folder from this email address in outlook, but if i wish toreply to them will it show as coming from live.ie or outlook? Not a techy so any solid info appreciated.
  14. Some sick people out there.
  15. Negative people? I think the word your actually looking to use is sensible!!!!! By your own admission youve just got the ferrets and you are new to keeping them and you need help in knowing what to do ....your words ......"Just got myself 2 ferret hobs and really want to get into ferreting ..But I need somebody who would be willing to take me out just once ortwice so I get the idea and get abit of experience before I go out alone" AND YOU THINK THATS OK TO START BREEDING FERRETS WHEN YOU AINT GOT A CLUE :wallbash: :wallbash:   ..............So yeah i think people are right to
  16. Have to agree with Rake Aboot and Stubby. And as for showing that your stinker knows what its doing....well ive never had a stinker that hasnt bolted a rabbit, there natural hunters when put down a sett with rabbits in there, they tend not to cuddle the bunnies for a bit of love :whistling: . Ive had stikers on and off for over 23yrs.......and ive never ever bred one, my choice yes but there are plenty of kits born each year from good hunting stock and from fellas that are very experienced in ferrets and breeding and from good working stock too, so no need for me to try and start another
  17. I tend not to put my nets in the hole......more cover the entrance than anything else. May leave it a bit lose into the hole but not the bottom of the net, just the bagging in the middle.
  18. Aye be nice ....looking to get a decent sized van so be good to get the €€€ rather than a loan.
  19. Only thing i havent quite got the knack of is plastering . I can do small repairs and bits and bobs but to do a whole wall ...well dont think the finnish would be a totally smooth finnish....maybe like the ANDES   . But on saying that ive not had a lot of prctise at it. But may have a go in my shed on a couple of walls as its made from brick.
  20. B&Q Ireland are calling in Examiners ...not looking good for them....may get some bargains if they sell out cheap.
