    New Car

Hello all, Well my old BMW has finally given up the ghost and I'm now looking for a new car. To be honest I think my mind is really made up on a the new C250 CDI Coupe. The better half has the family car (a Mitsubishi Outlander) so I have been able to get something a bit smaller and sportier. The main thing I need is a car that can chew up the motorway miles without making me tired when I get to my destination, and to give us a bit of fun on the B-Roads. So I was thinking of one of these, and wanted to know if anyone on here had any views or experience? The full link to
  2. anyone tried this gear yet ? looks ok.. does it stand up to the brambles and thorns at all ? I'v not tried them but they look very good and a good price too.
  3. Glad to hear he's on the mend mate, I would be thinking of having words with the 2nd Vet about how best to complain.
  4. Try the lightly fried woodys wrapped in bacon, with a big field mushroom with a little garlic butter and black pudding in the cup, some freshly fried tomatoes on the side, beuty full, Stop it your making me hungry, I've not had my lunch yet
  5. That was my view, I know that I can shoot a better grouping when prone or supported, but I figured if I can shoot a good group free standing then my supported grouping will be even better
  6. Nah, he was just talking about how he was shown. I have to agree that the biggest problem with my grouping is the shooter .
  7. First off the BSA Ultra M/S is a great rifle, but I would say that as I have just got myself one too Anyway, mine seems to really like the Daystate RangeMaster Li, these are a light pellet and come in .22 calibre. This said I will be trying the RWS Super Field pellets a try.
  8. Thanks guys, Yes I am shooting a BSA Ulta Multishoot PCP, my grouping is ok, not great but ok. I will have to give shoot prone a go and see how it improves. Many thanks, Lauben
  9. Hello All, Well I have an odd question, me and a mate were having a discussion about how I shoot my 25ft groupings. Now currently I shoot un-supported, so both me and the gun are free standing, now my mate has said that I am doing it all wrong and I should be shooting from a supported position i.e. prone, bag, tripod or bipod. Now my question to you all is, should I be shooting from a supported posture? Ta for the advice.
  10. Pigeon is nice, not a lot to it but worth a try.
  11. Hello, I was just wondering how many of us eat what we shoot? I have to admit that on the whole I do try and eat (cooked first of course ) what I have just taken in the field as long as the prey is healthy and safe to eat and I was wondering if I was in the minority or not. Lauben
  12. I have to say that YouTube was great for this and showed me how to prepare a pheasant. To be honest the hardest part was plucking it, once I had done that the rest was easy.
  13. Thanks obby I will have to take a look at that one mate.
  14. Anyone know of any for the non-iphone owners
  15. Well tony has just put the fear of god into us as I have just got myself a very nice new BSA Ultra .22 multishot from a Blackpool retailer, and I have no desire to get my collar felt by the boys(or girls) in blue and end up with a criminal record the first time I go onto my permission(when I get one ). I thought that most/all air guns were now factory set to under the legal limit of 12ft/lbs. and that many including the BSA’s had anti-tamper checks to show that we had not fiddled with them. With all this in mind should I be going back to the shop and getting it chrony?
  16. Whizzie, Any chance you could do a post on how to butcher the roe deer for the table? I don’t think that I will ever be as lucky as you, although I have had a few near misses with a deer jumping out into the road on my way to work, but it would still be very nice to learn a little from someone who has done it. Lauben
  17. I have just bought a BSA Ultra multi shot to replace my tx200 and so far I love it, very compact and lightweight and is dead on even out the box. All in all a great gun, in my humble view.
  18. Evening All, As a new coming to this site, I would just like to say hello from Bolton. So who am I? I am LauBen I am 33 and live in Bolton (just outside Manchester) England, I spend all my day sat at a desk playing with computer so any distraction and chance to get out in the real world is welcome. I have been into shooting mostly fixed target shooting for many years, but I have recently made the jump from an springer (an Air Arms TX200 HC) to a PCP (a nice BAS Ultra Multishot). I am also hoping to try my hand at hunting and brush up my field craft and would very much welcome any ad
