I like Hull high pheasant 30 gram 5's they seem a nice cartridge and the 5 shot knocks birds down well, if I'm going where there's high birds I use 32 gram. If your guns a multi choke maybe you could try opening your chokes a bit if you think your hitting the birds too hard.

I think I would contact guns on pegs and let them know what's gone on, if you found the shoot through there website they need to be made aware of the situation and get the others you have found to do the same it will make your claims seem more genuine. Post the shoot name as a rip off on as many forums as you can as often as you can be bothered over the next few years. this will cost them money in the long run. Good luck getting your money back

I had a dog about twenty years ago that had a middle toe taken off on its front foot I ran him ok for a bit after that but can't remember how long. Eventually the other middle toe started to dislocate, you could just push it back into place but it didn't cause him too much pain so I retired him then to my brothers as a pet Hope this doesn't happen with yours.
