Personally i would go for an adult as a first ferret, kits are lovely but to a novice could proove a handfull, why not seek out a rescue place in your area & go along & i am sure they will have a ferret that will be just right for you & your needs. One bit of advice i will give you is if you intend to work the ferret some rescues wont re home to anyone who works, not all rescues , just some If you put the area your from on this thread i will try & find a rescue in your area,assuming your ok with that route Hi Ferretlove i am getting 2 kits and im new to fer

Hi gnipper red squirrels will go in to tunnels with fenns in we do not have them around here but im sure you cant use trapping if any red Squirrels around i would check with Defra to cover yourself. http://www.defra.gov.uk/ I dont know if you have tried it but i do a lot of trapping rats what i do is dig a scrape for the fenn to sit in so its ground level in the artificial tunnel then spread peanut butter on the top and a bit on the underneath of the plate and just leave it like that dont cover with earth then cover with artificial tunnel and peg the chain works for me cheers Dowen.

Hi has any body tried or purchased one of these digital night vision from GB sights that attach to your day scope all looks very exciting and im intrested in buying one but before i part with my money i wondered if anybody has tried it i know there is a couple of people waiting for them any advice please Dowen.

Im new to ferretting and i have a choice of some kits i want a pair is there a prefernce in sexes ie 2 males 2 females or one of each sex i know a bit about ferrets just never kept them like the jills stay in season so will either need jill jab or vacectomised Hob i want them for rabbitting any advice would be helpful cheers Dowen.

Started to repopulate around his land after gassing them just found out that a baffler in my silencer was bust and making pellet swerve to left could see it in night vision scope shop replaced silencer so going on another shoot weekend give us a shout if you fancy trip out any time cheers Dowen

Hi Donkey thank you for pointing me to this site and stevolad i have been running my own business since july 06 so not long but i have been doing pest control ie ratting since i was 10 and i still get a buzz today cheers everybody P.s weres the welsh man Donks doesnt he want to say hello cheers Dowen.

I have a ATN night vision Gen2 on my Air Arms S410K have had great success ratting but i cant get on with the Reticle on it its one of them step ones for distance good for shooting deer ect but rat and rabbits no. Anyway I was thinking of putting on a infer red lazer dot and use that instead of the reticle has any one used one and what do they think to it and does any one use night vision for rabbits many thanks Dowen.

Hi everybody a bit about myself my name is Dowen im from Worksop near Sheffield and i run a pest control business i do all pest control but enjoy vertabrae control i have a six month old lakeland cross fell im training at the moment for ratting / rabbatting and im after some ferrets to start rabbit control.
