    had a good day out today with big.e and ferret kid of hear and another couple mates, we had some brilliant crack all day!! the ferrets worked really well and the dogs done a good job aswell, we are still getting plenty of young rabbits about we were asked to remove rabbits from a farmers back garden so the young rabbits had to go aswell,some of the rabbits just wouldint bolt so we had a few digs at one of the digs we located the ferret at two and a half feet so dug down it was a stop end so took the ferret out and ferret kid got his arm up the hole he ended up pulling 4 big rabbits out he was

    yeh mate we had some good crack all day!! them we ferrets will take a while we were putting one at a time down with a working ferret and they were following it no prob, they were we biteing feckers but starting to calm down a lot now

    well after checking everything and taking all your advice it was me that forgot to lift the camera.. but so what, we had a great first day back! we ended the day with 14 rabbits, still plenty of cover which is to be expected at this time of year and still plenty of young about so we had a couple of digs, all the ferrets worked their we socks of and have to say well done to big.e his pup is 1 year old and got 4 out a 4 rabbits on the slip and it was his first time even seeing a rabbit :thumbs: So hopefully this is a good season for us!! i cant fecking wait to next week already lol..     well folks myself and big.e of here heading out at 6.30am tomorrow morning for a good days ferreting,our first day back for this season hopefully we have a good day!! 1)ferrets>>>>>check! 2)purse nets 45>>>>>>check! 3)long nets>>>>check! 4)locater + 5 collors>>>>>>> check! 5)spade>>>> check! 6)4 lurchers>>>>>>check! 7)pack lunch>>> check! 8)couple of stable boys to carry rabbits lol..>>>>>>> check! think ive got it sorted what use think have i left anything

    Awwww there cute i want one yeh kay arent they !! im keeping a jill myself and my mates are takeing the other 2, so they will all be out ferreting together when the time comes ........ :thumbs:

    just a we update on the new kits, they are now 4 weeks old and their eyes are nearly opened wide, i have checked them and their is 1 hob and 2 jills all doing well, mother is doing a brilliant job looking after them.... (tommy.c)

    cheers mate i only give her tuna every second or third day and aswell as the chicken she would get a bit of dry food! and just 1 raw egg a week, do you think thats ok mate?

    just had a good look at the kits today, there is three very healthy kits and the jill is doing a brilliant job as mum,ive been feeding her plenty of tuna and chicken wings!! how long before i can tell what sex they are? (tommy.c)

    thanks kay, im just very excted but i know i have to be very patient, theres still about 2 or three weeks before they start coming out themselves!!

    [bANNED TEXT] folks, the kits are now 9 days old, ive been giving my jill plenty of food and water!! and shes been really good and very comfortable with me, so tonight i had a we peak in, could only see two kits but they look fine what age do they open thier eyes at? (tommy.c)
