went out yesterday on a 19ft boat first time with the dog have to say was a pleasure to watch her then she decided to leap off the boat there was no birds ect in sight i then put her on her lead then she went to do it again luckily enough i graberd her as she went she retrieved well when shot game went in but why jump the boat i was tinkn she might b frightend but she was grand untill these 2 attemps i was tinkn does she jus love the water as any time she gets shes in it but to jump the boat when moving could she have got a good scent and went for it i dont no. any 1 have this before ment to

ive just finished reading the complete gun dog by john humpreys well worth gettin if starting im starting and my dog has come a long way since i got her not the best but good for a 3 year old that had no manners at all im no going to start on another book on gun dogs id reckon mend any 1 whios starting the pup to read a lot and then put it into practice step by step i will b looking doing so with a new pup in the near future

last friday we went for a lamp got a few good runs but noting went to a diferent place we baged 8 dogs ran very well i then went out sunday night had another great night another 6 with a fair share in the bag between us dog was mad to go she ran them very well even going threw the ditch after them was tinkn she was goin to get hurt but out she came as eager as she went in this is her proper first season and have got of at good start i didnt bring my cam on sunday but did last friday so will upload a pic of what we got looking forward now to the long winters nights

My 1 is13 months now and coming on well ferrets lamps startinhg to work cover but lacks the sharp turns she gets tread like a lurcher other ting is shes a bad jumper

Brought the dogs for a jog while I was driving in a place were there is plenty of fields around the rd I seen 6 people in 2 groups lamping around the same area with at least 4 dogs between them no wonder lampin is gone brutal

lovely i just got 1 a few weeks ago mine is a bull mastiff weighed him at 9 weeks he was 20 pound i weighed yesterday hes now 27 pound at 13 weeks cant wait to see how he will turn out
