  2. not really sure tbh. roughly 4-5month mayb? shes' keen enough when she gets into a field like. I don't mean to sound condescending mate but some of the shittest cuts have seen have seemed keen in the field an the best dogs have not seem interested and then vice versa. In your position keep it on a lead but don't let it ago, if it's mature enough next June/July when it's between 14-17 months try it on a small cub by itself you being as close as you can. Let the the dog catch it then dispatch it yourself as quick as possible, gradually increasing the time as the cubs get older til it's kill

  4. i agree with everything yous' are all saying and cheerz for the feed-back boys. . i take pup out walking whenever i can, had it out ferreting and lamping quite a few times and i can honestly say if she sees' one she f*****g wants it. when out with the other dog for a dander, i take them to the beech sometimes when the tides' out. she runs bout chasing the other dog and can actually keep up with him which is surprising for the age and size of her like, so say shed' be good enough for them in the next few months!

  7. right guys, as above! id' like to know about introduction methods to different types of quarry.. how? what age? i know that it will all click in the end and not starting to young, just that i would like to hear of other ways (if any) how people introduce dogs to diff quarry, all responses appreciated!! purely for know how purposes of course

  11. yea mate thats what i was planning to do.. the lamp is a draper 1.5million rechargeable.. it says the halogen bulb 55w... batt is 6v. i was just wondering if anyone would know a good place for bulbs as to be honest i have not got a clue.... cheers boys!
  12. serious like? i took the pup out with the other dog, i wasnt really planning on letting her do it, but what harm has it done? anytime i take her out ferreting with me shes on her back legs dieing to get at them. i was planning on letting her check them out up close, but the dog didnt kill them, and she happened to grab it from being on the lead which stopped it from running away, im not going to ruin her by doing that like do whats the problem?

  15. rights guys, am just home there we were away out with the dog and my wee bitch, went for a dander to this place i know thats' full of all game! we didnt really want to go out tonight as it was too calm but decided to take the pup, so we grabbed dogs and headed out. we were walking along this path, place full of rabbits, few slips but no luck. on up abit there was a rabbit sitting squatting walked within 10 metres of it before it bolted, slipped the dog it turned the rabbit a few times then bang! 1st rabbit in the bag, about 40-50metres on up the path another squatter, again i slipped the dog a

  17. right so i got a draper 1.5million rechargeable lamp. its got a halogen bulb which is bright as f**k as long as the batt lasts which is about 40 mins ( fully charged ), i am just wondering if anyone can help me to locate non-halogen bulbs for it or anyway i can sort it .. any help appreciated!!   19. he's not from working dogs, he is actually the missus dog fs lol just seen him out the back the other day going mad at a cat on a fence. i have took him out for the walk with me when heading out with the ferrets a few times. i've came across a few setts along the way but he shows no interest really. any ideas? cheers
  20. i have a wee terrier here its about 13 months old caught him yesterday goin mad at a cat but any time i try to get him interested in the holes he refuses to go down. Not that i was tryin to force him but i would love him to be working !!! Any ideas,tips and opinions on my situation as i would love to have him as a working eathdog
