    7 kits, 6 weeks old on Monday, both parents good workers, 4 hobs, 3 jills, the three jills already spoken for but a good possibility some of the hobs could be available to good working homes. So anyone in the Co. Down or Mourne area watch this space, these ferrets are of medium size and will be handled every day.

    I saw this just last year in a litter of kits, it was the biggest kit that first took it first and pulled itself along like a seal pup, he lost this kit, however he gave the rest yoghart made from goats milk, ( got from asda ) and the other two made 100% recovery, it was the first time that I had ever witnessed this in 35 years of ferrets, these kits had been reared on woodpigeon carcasses perhaps that had something to do with it ?, but I think Malt is on the right path with diagnosis of Calcium deficiency, please keep us informed and I hope all is well.

    I have the same problem with a little polecat jill, who is nursing 7 kits at present, (5 weeks old this Monday) she did the same last year but when kits were weaned it was back to normal, its just as diggermad says jill is being over protective, good luck with the kits.

    You wouldnt see 40 rabbits around this part of Down in a lifetime, we have to travel to shoot or ferret, are you going to Shanes next week?

    Hi all, I have just signed up to your forum after many weeks of looking in on it, I am an ex keeper, and have just got back into ferrets this past two seasons, have a lovely litter of 7 kits at present, looking forward to making and meeting new friends.
