    Just had a closer look at my Shotgun and it says "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" So does that mean I can use steel shot or just that it was proofed by Winchester??

    I may of got an invite to try wildfowling but not sure my Winchester 1200 can use steel shot? I guess if I'm unsure I could used bismuth but steel shot would be the cheaper option. Also only have a modified choke (1/2) and a 1/4 choke would that be suitable for wildfowling?

    After trying a few guns down the club and chatting to folk who do both hunting and targets would prefer a Ruger .22 LR 10/22 with MOD and scope of possible please.

    I'm after my first rimfire rifle which will get used down the club and eventually once I change my FAC conditions for rabbits. Would prefer a full set up (Scope, moderator, Bipod Ect) CZ/BRNO bolt action or a Semi auto ruger 10/22 or Remington if it cycles the rounds well so what do you have to offer please?

    Main use of the gun will be for practical rifle target shooting so has to be a semi with option of 30 Rd mag since only just got my FAC so cant use it for pest control yet until I change the licence and since it took them 6 months to issue it I'm not in a hurry to return it to them yet.

    Finally got my FAC after applying for it back in March and looking for my 1st semi-auto since its main use will be down the shooting club and for practical rifle but eventually I will get my long awaited FAC adjusted for hunting so will also be used for rabbits eventually as well. Both the Remington and Ruger are very similar but which is better for a first gun?

    Cabinet (Batton Sound RL5) is behind a door in the bedroom bolted to the wall and cant be seen from inside the flat unless you enter the room but since it faces a window I have net curtains up which the FAO who gave me my SGC was more than happy with but the new FAO who was going to grant me my FAC seemed to think that if someone was to move the garden table and stand on it to look through the 4 inch gap above the net curtain which is 8 foot up the window from the outside that they could then clearly see the cabinet so said it had to be moved.     Why can’t FAO stick to the same fecking rules? Just had my cabinet inspection for my FAC to be told it was in the wrong place and I won’t be granted my FAC (which I applied for in March) until I move it. Yet the previous FAO who granted my shotgun cert was more than happy with its position/location and gave me the shotgun certificate. Makes me wonder if it's because I put a complaint into the Chief Inspector after they lost my references and didn't bother to tell me.

    I have a small permission in Hampshire and willing to take an experienced hunter with insurance with me on the condition they pick me up since I have no car at present.

    I'm after a 4x4 Near Southampton if possible. I was originally looking at a Disco 300Tdi but most seem to be more rust than car so I'm now open to suggestion's/offers. Max price I can pay is £1500 so no point offering 6K cars to me since I can only dream.

    At the moment I'm still shooting club rifles at a 20yrd small bore indoor range since Hampshire Police mucked up my FAC application by loosing the references and didn't bothering to tell me so 3 months after applying I only found out by asking why they where taking so long. So looks so it like I'm back to the start of the waiting game. Must admit I would prefer to use a rim fire .22 on my permission since them rabbits seem to know when they are just out of range of air rifle but most of the time they stay close to the edge of the fields which back onto peoples property or a road.
