  1. hi snap shot thanks for the reply ,just got rid of the 204 remington 700 sps .not getting the accuracy i need from it the rounds are thin on the ground ,choice wise ,and they are going up in price to 140 quid for 100 very expensive to shoot . going for the stainless synthetic sako 75 hope this gives me better results but all opinions welcomed regards t3
  2. hi just like to know people,s views on the 22.250 and its capability at long range etc ? anyone on here use a sako 75 in this cal ? thanks t3
  3. HI I USE THE STANDARD BLACK AF BOXES NO PROBLEMS AT ALL AND NICE AND CHEAP YOU WONT GO FAR WRONG .TOP AND BOTTOM IS IF THEY WANT TO TAKE THEM THEY WILL, OR INDEED DAMAGE THEM BUT AS STATED MAKE A CLAUSE THAT IF THEY ARE DAMAGED OR STOLEN THEN ITS DOWN TO THEM TO REPLACE THEM . GOOD LUCK WITH THE WORK REGARDS T3
  4. legion blood is top notch i got several and they are as gutsy as any terriers ive ever owned .in fact the litter brother of mine took second at the midland.so legion dogs are of good stuff but you will always get a bonehead who believes hes got the best terrier in the world .every bodies tastes are different and ideas of the perfect dog .so enjoy your dogs what ever type you have. and by the way that is a good looking bitch you have there good luck with the pups

  9. hi remmy nice hour out by the seems .see you got a nightforce on your rifle what do you think of these scopes ? i think they are the goods it seems most of the lads i talk to in my local shop and mates use these regards t3

  11. hi lads anyone on here know where i can get a 10 shot mag from for this rifle.just got it .and gotta say superb quality and mint condition too its the heavy barrel model they dont make them any more so getting hold of one in this condition took some doing .so the bunnies can look out . regards t3
  12. listen lads its all down to personal choice .who the hell is going to shoot 700 to 1000 yards anyway as i said earlier i have a pair of nxs and are over the moon with them .they have every thing a fox shooter requires . and i can assure you that the military snipers use them .again down to personal choice .so buy what you like personally and we will all be happy.and talking about jap quality look at the new howa rifles shit hot super accurate . have a nice day
  13. hi all the lads around my neck of the woods use these .i was looking through mine yesterday evening while sitting out they will take some beating for sure. looking around out to several hundred yards clear as a bell .looked at the pm11 that baldie mentioned nice scope but no noticable difference to my eyes like i said most professional teams use them we cant all be wrong can we ? t3
  14. hi i had a vixen earlier on .she was killing lambs on a local farm she had cubs and she was covered in them all around her ears . nice distance that good luck t3
  15. hi ive got nxs on both my centre fires and got to speak as i find them crystal clear .im very happy with mine if they wasnt that good why do swat teams and military use these as i dont think costs come in to play with professional bodies. and they are certaily selling plenty in my local gun shop .and i got to say that i really do like the mlr reticle german as we all know are tops but i think that when you get to that sort of money thay are much a par and as most shots are taken at around 100 to 200 yards they are all you need. regards t3
  16. hi i agree it sounds like botulism .i lost a hob a few weeks ago ,they go down hill so quick with this and theres lttle that can be done, you did the right thing by putting them down ,its a shame though was there ant stored meat food ? regards t3
  17. trading standards have a word ,i certainly wont consider buying from those tossa,s good luck t3
  18. hello 101 i use a t8 on mine .yes a crack is heard but you wont shut up a centre fire .but its not much noisier than a 12 gauge going off really as frank said his experiences of the calibre is far different from my findings, every fox that ive had has looked very ill after ,as bald one said it basically cuts them in half ,well thats my findings too and as he also said very flat shooting.and it does not knacker barrels . t3
  19. hello dont hesitate on the 204 ,super calibre .remington tipped rounds paying around £17 for box of twenty range wise a lot of factors to take on board your competance .rifle your using .wind scope loads of factors involved .but certainly capable for fox work.my 204 makes my .222 stays in the cabinate if im out after foxy its the right tool for the job very accurate round was shooting off bipod at paper at 160 yds and grouping was about the size of a two pence peace ,all the lads local to me that are using this cal cant fault it . only thing is rounds are getting a little difficult to ob
  20. look tidy foxes to me well capable of killing game etc.good luck foxy .look forward to the next outing i am they are giving the leverets a hard time down this way im sure.but theres always one
  21. as far as i am aware mate, they leave the nest as full size wasps. wasps do not leave the nest as full grown adults these are quite a bit smaller than adults .i do many hundreds of nests a year and i do get a close look at many of them hope this helps t3
  22. hi i will give my opinion for what its worth,i have personally had three dogs from dave hancock and i will say that they have done the biss for me i have had a half cross collie grey blue merle 2 three quater collie greys and they have all been very good lamp dogs and ferreting dogs proving to have good marking ability and being very steady my mate had a dog from him a dog that was about 5 months old and it proved to be trouble but i put this down to its age and not being bothered with. but speak as you find they were all good and i would buy another from him,as for dave he always
  23. srry to hear about this mate .i would take it further ,feck em .put it in every magazine let all people out there that uses these firearms that if they gets a problem that this is what to expect from the maker in question but i bet it does make your blood boil regards t3
  24. hi local yokel i was gob smacked at the damage it did ,every one i hit had major and i mean major damage every round expanded as expected for a tipped round ,ive shot most 22 center fire cartridges inc .223 22-250 but this is the dogs danglies , i know baldie on here speaks highly of this round and fair play the guy he is right big time rounds are a little dear paying £18 for 20 but its worth every penny cant wait till the corn is cut, t3
  25. first time out after mr fox last night quick walk around two local farms with the remington 700 .204 sps ive got a .222 as well ,but this 204 is some tool very accurate clover leaf groups at yards got a jewel trigger to go on when i gets time to fit it .had two large cubs from different litters and a vixen ,used the 40 grain remington accu tip ammo. in my view this will blind my .222 which i think is the goods ,its so flat just put the cross on it and squeeze.got a t4 on it and its nice around farms with cattle etc. sorry no pics ,but this is certainly the cal to use with out dowt .
