Let sleeping foxes lie ,or not ? .
Tikka T3 replied to Squirrel_Basher's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
foxdropper good cal that .222 mate .this fox must have known you were out and about and thought feck this wots the point in runnin from the foxdropper and laid down in a submisive fashion wish they were like it round my way . seriously though nice fox and good pics .thought you got yourself a new .223 why you not using it then ? regards t3 -
well as deka stated you dont always get this damage ,it looks like its hit a leg on the way in and lets be fair at 70 yds what do you expect .but at least it was clean,i got a 22.250 some times it leaves some damage especially if its a head shot other times only minimal damage but i think a 223 would be pushing it on a body shot at 250 to do this damage . t3

foxdropper have no worries ,those mice are in good hands mate .
-
hi lads got to tell you about this one i pissed myself i work with a local autority pest control.my mate got called out to a nursing home for mice , the problem was as usual kitchen linked and he was in there looking around .he bent down to look under plynths and realised that his knees where wet .well it turned out that one of the old dears was out there shortly before and pissed on the floor, what a bummer anything like this happened to any of you lot ? it might be my sick sense of humour but i did laugh regards :

sambo i think it best you make your own mind up my friend and try and find some one with a nightforce so you can make up your own mind as at the end of the day its what you are happy with, i take on board snap shots views and opinion on these scopes .however i would not change mine it never looses zero and in my honest opinion great in low light ,i shoot foxes several nights a week and money isnt really a problem ,it has a illuminated crosshair and side paralax and as snap shot says built like a tank. true foxshooting scope good t3
-
for attention of snapshot i have to say mate i disagree with you about the nightforce .you said they are no good in low light / well my friend ive got two and i find them very good ,i am sure john galloway will agree with me i use mine on a 22.250 and believe me they do a grand job ,ive had a swarovski excellent glass but they are all much a par ,and there is a shortage of these in my local gunshop as soon as they are in they are out and for interest look on ebay and see the high second hand price these scopes fetch but i suppose every one on here is due there opinion regards t3
-
hi i use a t4 very good good luck with your choice t3
-
hi i would also go for sako super quality very accurate indeed as for nightforce scopes ,i personally have three of these .they are great scopes and gather a lot of light at night and a wide field of view .it really depends on what you want it for and how much you want to spend, t3

Tikka T3 replied to jamie g's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
hello this could stir up a hornets nest BEWARE!!!!! go 22.250 you wont look back , and dont listen to this barrel burning nonsense . if you go sako tikka you will not go wrong out of the box 22.250 is the one . they will all do the job .but why cut yourself short good luck with your choice. t3 -
hi all .well over the festive season i managed to get out a few times with new rifle and call master fox call from decoying uk . firstly let me say to mr galloway i dont have to cuss you and call you bad names . the call does a grand job ,most importantly its got the range to get out there .had a walk tonight and had a big dog fox with it. it came in very confidently to 130yds .and i have to mention that the call is very compact and the service from decoying uk is second to none . there are loads of calls available we all know but this one is a cracker it does a good job . and the new 22.
-
THANKYOU MR GALAWAY I HAVE TAKEN YOUR ADVICE AND ONE IS ON ITS WAY .IF IT DOESNT WORK I ALWAYS HAVE YOU TO CUSS BLACK AND BLUE REGARDS TIKKA
-
hello all any of you good people on here tried this callmaster from decoying uk .just would like some feedback before making a decision
-

baldi no probs just thought you could of used em thats all .if your opinion would you go for the heavy barrel or the standard ? would you think i would gain a lot if i had the heavy barrel ? thanks t3
-
hi baldie do you want all my old once fired brass remington .theres quite a few there let me know and i will post t3
-
all intereseting replies ,and different views.i know baldie uses the ruger rifle .i presume perhaps i should of got this rifle with a different twist .its a lot of messing around changing a gun having it threaded and silencer proofed all the paperwork etc .the noise was the major worry but if its anything like this tikka i got then i should be ok thanks for your replies t3 ps baldie if you reads this whats your view on the leica 800 rangefinder
-
hi baldi im just getting reloading gear together waiting on rcbs 1500 scales ,got the dies etc .the trouble im finding with the 204 is ammo choice .ive been using 40 grain remmy accu tips they are almost bullet on bullet at 100 yd zero but then they will put a fe about an inch all over the place try,s my .222 tikka and it is pin on every shot . i shot two crackers a couple of days ago on the lamp with the .222 and missed two should have beens with the 204 .just aint got the confidence with it any more the 204 does the job for certain when it connects. but i think its time to move on ev
