    back on thread lol. try using the catty at around the 2 o clock possition or 10 o clock depending whether you shoot left or right handed rather than fully horizontal. also try holding the forks dont bother putting your thumb in that groove you will shoot it off. and also with double bands you wont be able to hold it steady enough. try using lighter band sets, at least until you are used to shooting, i use 1 layer of theraband silver cut at 25cm and tapered 2.5cm to 1.5cm. and a light weight pouch. these bands are perfect for shooting 9.5mm steel balls and i have shot squirrels with these bu

    i have 4 jf herring hunting scene plates for sale. the biggest one has some scratches on were someone has used it to eat. they are not very bad but thought i would mention them so i dont get come backs. the other 3 are mint. i want £35 for them plus £10 postage

    i am selling a pair of shimano catana carp rods they are 12ft and 2 1/4 test curve. they are in very good condition and come a thick cotton bag each they are nice rods to use cheers danny

    i am selling a kowa tsn2 telescope x25 zoom. if anyone is interested, it is in good condition and comes with a tripod that extends to about 6ft tall so can be used stood up. i have had this since i was young and its just sat gathering dust in the cupboard and im having a clear out. i am looking for £90 for it plus whatever postage it would be or you could collect. cheers danny

    cheers for the comments, the outer wood on yew is good in tension the inner wood is good on compression. thats why its one of the best woods to use but trying to find a length that is long enough and straight and as knot free as possible isnt easy gona try ash next time if i can find some decent stuff.

    this is the first bow i have attempted so im pretty pleased how its turned out. i may fibre glass back it just for abit of safety but seems strong enough.

    got bitten on the forearm while trying to take a fox out of the net it was nice and relaxed then just decided to throw a wobbler and got me. my mate was laughing his head off. i wouldnt mind but i had bolted and released the very same fox a few weeks before from the same earth. thats gratitude for you eh. (i knew it was the same fox from a distinct scar across its muzzle).

    i have dug to friends sealyham a good few times and theres not much gets past him hes got a head like a rugby ball and is a large dog.his only downfall is that his front legs are so badly turned in(queen anne) that he cant dig on in tight places.

    30 odd years ago I was shown to turn the spade around and pin them against the side with the handle,then scruff them,slide them out and grab their back legs or tail,you can have a few problems if there's more than one in the hole though,but it does teach you some respect for the fox as you definitely don't get bitten twice,it also makes you realise the bravery of your terrier,atb,wirralman thats the way i was taught to do it,or let the fox get hold of the handle and gently pin it by the lower jaw then you can do what you want with them.
