  1. Lol I text him pronto, he wants £685... told him to update it before he jams the mobile networks!
  2. I think its funny when people keep 'score'. I can only wonder how many hunters have been killed by bunnies who've armed themselves and lay in wait outside their house. "I grabbed my s410, ready to go shooting as the light faded...I opened my front door and kicked gerry and lucy out to test the water, after 10 mins of watching them on the slip and slide, i finally worked up the courage to walk down the drive. I paused after the fifth pace. I sniffed the air. Something wasn't right. Had I left the iron on? No sooner had I turned around, when I involuntarily did a backflip and face plan
  3. Got one in .22 cal as new, receipt (bought Jan '12) blank warranty card, silencer. would need £50 for the 10 shot conversion plus extra mag... pics on The Hunters Chronicles thread. I'm in Gloucestershire.
  4. Ahh apologies Joe, I should've updated. Since earning some good old cash and clearing the overdraft, she's a keeper. You're in the right direction though, get yourself one of the these (the rifle length like this has the bull barrel, the Hunter Carbine allows for an added silencer) and you will NOT regret it.
  5. Well said that man. Ditto. Mike, been reading Simon's blog about sustainable living and after reading your blog I can really see the attraction. Would love to come down and give you a lift with the build Thanks Elliott, I would do my utmost to make you very welcome. Just got that small sliver of the earth cake left, then its cracking onto drainage, foundations and building of the walls, the good stuff! Far more interesting to help someone with than the current task.
  6. I have needs that require a womans touch... sure, one could get acquainted with other species, but not my thing. Read about a guy out there who, trying to save weight when hunting was good chucked his shotty shells in a lake. Weather suddenly changed, no resupply and that mistake nigh on killed him. Think they dragged him out his tent just before he croaked from starvation. Requires complete reprogramming and mentality adjustment. Old Dick Proenekke was not only a rare breed but an old school boy from a different generation and era. That program sounds like proof.
  7. We'll av some more of them! Fantastic write up, cracking pics too! Nice one.
  8. I hope to meet you too stop.end. It would be an honour and a pleasure. Plus, if you could time it for when i'm doing the roof, that'd be great! Hahaha Bless ya mate. All the best.
  9. As some will know, I have created a life lost to many, dreamed of by others, lived by a few. My recent activities have been documented on the thread The Hunter's Chronicles. How I managed to forge this path is recorded in the archives of my blog www.1nomad.blogspot.co.uk and in my books 'The Warless Warrior' series. What I wish to relate to you is another side of my life. A most important part. One explored and written about beautifully by the late, great American literary icon, Henry David Thoreau. I speak specifically of his work "Walden; Or Life In The Woods" and recommend it highly
  10. Is that the story of Dick Proenekke? Lasted 32 years. Went out when he was 51 came back when he was 83. A young chap tried to copy him, lasted 3 weeks I think?
  11. I hear certain airguns can deliver 100 ft/lbs plus if thrown correctly. SMKs are good for that form of hunting. You have to have excellent stalking skills. I gave up hunting with airguns that way as it was too messy despite being spectacular. Now I use them to launch projectiles. 'Pellets'. Some are quite good at it too. Got a far better success rate using my tx200 that way...only draw back is instead of just picking it up I have to fiddle about with cocking-loading-safety catches-triggers-sights-ammo... Far simpler the old fashioned way, but hey, gotta keep with the times...
  12. Come in Mole. Mole!?... Mole?! Maybe they ambushed him. Them pigeons is organised.....
  13. Ahh thought it was just the one cal...
  14. Now hold the phone! Dr Evil is...gone! I may be being slow, but when the chuff did that happen? Mr Mole, welcome to Airgun Addicts Anonymous. It's an elite club of wretched souls...
  15. What cal we talking? If .177 I'd be interested.
  16. Gosh, not seen a BSA R10 with a silencer on before. It looks....sexy! If rather long, but long is ok. That is one hell of a good outing, all credit to ya hutch6, and yes they go mad for the piccys, keep it up!
  17. Cool adventure there Mawders. We'll get ya some real size targets don't you worry.
  18. Cheers buddy. Thanks for the board, those two were actually courtesy of the fly tippers who dumped stuff here before we arrived. Loads of useful bits and bobs, shame they haven't been back!
  19. Sheeple?! Don't be silly! Livestock are herded in to pens, fed junk and kept in such un-natural conditions that they need to be vaccinated against illnesses they should have naturally built immunity to. They have certificates with numbers on for breeding records etc. Not like us free humans. That reminds me, where's my birth certificate? It's got my national insurance number which i need to book myself in for my booster jabs...
