    Good post, I was also thinking of giving my 6 month old pup a run or two at the back end of the season but like you say there seasoned survivors and the amount of people lamp around here the surviving rabbits will have seen any amount of lamps ?

    i am not so keen on smaller lurchers never have my pal ran his on a roe way befor the ban it couldn't tackle it right big lurcher did the trick Seen small dogs take roe with ease ?

    I'm thinking my pup will make 22-23 tts as he don't have much knuckle left which is bigger than I was expecting but I'm not complaining ?

    Sire is saluki collie grey x beddy whippet and dam is beddy bull whippet x whippet grey so there is plenty tall dogs in the mix

    As you know I put my 21inch lurcher to a 19inch bitch both are lurcher x lurcher bred dogs the lad who has the bitch kept a butch pup and at 6 month is standing at 14.5 tts I kept a dog pup and he is the same height as his sire at 21tts and the lad who has the bitch kept in touch with the other pups and reckons one is 23tts already bigger than both parents and racey like where mine is very bully like. So from the smallest pup to biggest there is a difference of 8.5 inches which is a huge difference

    How old them pups now is there still couple inch gap in height of the pups ?

    Well like you say I don't want him marking while out mooching but last time I took the ferrets out he still didn't mark up, however last season I think I only had 3 outing with the ferrets the rest was lamping and mooching, I'm thinking get him out witg the ferrets more because he used to mark up 100%

    My lurcher used to mark warrens but because I have done Hardley any ferreting and while on a mooch call him away from a whole he doesn't mark up no more, maybe take a ferret wit me more often so he knows if he marks I'm gunna put a ferret over his mark ?

    Yeah I'm finding this season very poor tbh not much game on the ground last season I was getting double figures most of the time but this year I'm not seeing much to run

    What ever he makes I'll be happy about it but his sire is 2tts and dam is 19tts however his sire was 20tts at 6month so we will see tb25 how's your bitch getting on seen a pic or two on fb of her she looking well
