Had my last trip out with dogs today hunting on the hills. Had a good day and was a good laugh as always. Pic of my two while sat waiting.

I'm just over the moon to see there back in good numbers, especially on this land because there very good hares and hard to get to terms with.

Anyone else seeing good numbers of hares this year. Done an old spot I know that used to hold large numbers of them but in recent years has been poor for them but this year the place is back to the way I remember it. It's crawling with them. Guns coming out the weekend and the dogs going retrieving.

Trust me you get dogs born to sing, I kept that dog for 2 seasons and he yapped from his first run to his last run with me. I done everything [BANNED TEXT] entering him in my eyes as i have entered dogs the same way before him and after him and not one made a sound.

I can honestly say the one I had wasn't over matched, some are just born to be yappers

As far as I'm aware rest of litter doing very well think was just myn what was a yapper.

Bred this little black dog outa the black and tan dog in the picture to a beddy bull whippet grey. Threw back to the bull side of things. He was about 22tts. Put a hell of alot of time into him and had high hopes for him, turned out to be a yapper didn't he. I was gutted. The only thing he was useful for was foxes. Tbh he was very good on them and had a lot of them in the two seasons I kept him. Was a hard decision when I moved him on the lad who took him knew he was a yapper and was hoi g to run him with a small foot pack and use him as a catch dog. Was just talking to my
